Sweet little low-rank run. Thanks for the find.

It's a fairly recent upload (16th April '09) so it probably slipped under a lot of people's radars since Pink Sweets isn't all that popular here, and I myself haven't checked for new footage for quite some time. Nice to see AZI was still playing the game, and the rank-controlled way too.
indeed, i had a favourites link to the search results for pink sweets on nico, but stopped checking it recently.

and i think AZI had the first ALL video out there on the internet, which again was a kasumi run, but it was something like 4 mill  what's cool is that he really isn't doing much different to his no-medalling runs

now i've watched it all the way through, it's a nice solid play. great job on the snakes in stages 4 and 6. you can see how many times he's reached stage 7 and not cleared it, so he must've been swearing like no man's business when he dropped like 3 spare lives on the stage 7 midboss, and went into the final fight on his last life :o

a bit unlucky on the lightning, and he's obviously not bombing certain patterns because he doesn't wanna drive the rank up. if everything went right for him, could easily be a D or E score :!:

no options until stage 4 is probably what surprised me the most (and didn't milk the stage 3 midboss)

and absolutely, this is the type of play that people want to see, and probably the way it was intended to be played.

nearly 3 years late, but whatever...

Now I would be interested to see an over 3mil points replay, as the WR appears to be ~3,7mil.. how is it possible, argh. Nicovideo doesn't have any videos for this game, there's some for the sequel though.

3rd Replay looks pretty good but why is the player frequently using bombs if it is not for tactical reasons ie; revealing a hidden bonus or 1up?

I guess you mean the missiles the player sometimes picks up? In this game after picking the missile powerups the player starts using them, and it changes back to the regular shot after they have all been used. But yes, you can see that the player doesn't know the levels that well when he is shooting all the time.

Would anyone be willing to put some footage of Kyuin (PS1) up? That's about the only shmup that I haven't seen on Youtube-and it certainly looks like an interesting one!

Kyuin is apparently enjoyed even by people who are not schmup fans.

Yeah I know it's snesorama, but the DL link is long dead (I assume). So...technicality? It has the infos (sort of).

Ahh the graphics are so much better on the Ibara PCB. I really should get one. Might I suggest not suiciding for a hadou if you're not going to make use of it, though?

Yeah... Ibara's music is just too cool.

Nice video though, there aren't any good quality videos of Ibara arcade mode up there, anything I find is arrange mode or whatever.

And yeah, most pointless hadou in the world... maybe you were just showing it off for the camera or something.

Sound on the camera was messed up due to my roomies watching a film near the cab, so I improvised. The run isn't supposed to be good I was just getting some nice footage, and I'm not very good in general it's like 1.125 mil at the end of the stage. I'm going to keep putting nonimpressive(gameplay wise) HD video's oF pcb's on youtube, because frankly it's what I can do at the moment.

This video shows some techniques for high loop gameplay in Gradius IV. Some neat things, but I don't understand all of what's happening. I think the end of the video is indicating that if you play to 99:99:59 on your gameclock on the PS2 port that you'll unlock all the loops. A bit interesting! Also, the techniques are on the standard type, not the mine type that most people use so it's neat. I'm at 90 hours myself, so I have some incentive to play this game some more!

Nico video also has a video showing how to tackle the last stage on high loops, pretty technical positioning! Ca-raazy.

I just got a Nico account, you see. :)

EDIT: First link edited to the correct video! OOPS!

I recently put up my best replay from Zero Gunner 2.
Score is 1,603,050 with the Hokum, up to stage 2-1.
Quality isn´t very good (especially in part 1), but I think you can see everything.

I'm debuting my YouTube account with a 2.6 million replay on Mania for Granada. I don't know if it counts as a "superplay," but it's probably the closest thing I've done to that. I'm very pleased.

That's all I have for now from me, but I'll be looking to upload some more shmup and non-shmup related stuff later. BTW if anyone from shmups wants to friend me, I'll certainly add you, as long as I know who you are I guess.

Showing of a REALLY CRAPPY video of mine. It's some Raiden IV gameplay, I have a better video I have yet to record. I don't do half the stuff I did there anymore. For example, I actually take more time and dodge with boss 1. :/

I'm not very good but here goes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soMwy8Ev_vU

This vid is from one of my first times playing Raiden IV, sooo yeah.
