ID is unconfirmed - it could be ID3, we're not 100%. It could even change to Sega Rally 3 closer to the time (that's to try to give everyone a fairer advantage as it's a newer release). Just watch this space.

msm, you're a modest chap - don't worry about yer skillz, the team will organise who plays what, and not everyone has to take part in every challenge.

RGC wrote:I'd be up for any kind of tournament, even if it means getting my arse whipped. But, there's a fair chance I'll only be around for the Saturday now, and I'm guessing the contest will run over both days :?: Still, if you need a part-timer, I could definitely balance out against any deficiencies in the opposition.
I think it's on the saturday only afaik - hopefully this will remain the case. It makes more sense and lessens the chances of people not being able to make it on day 2.

RGC, PM Spadgy if you're up for it.

And it's all about SFZ2!

thanks for the info, only played initial d once before (in a full size moving car thing no less) so was thinking about getting some practice in, just in case!

RGC wrote:Cool, I'll get on the case with that. Good thing I haven't played a 1on1 fighter since Zero/Alpha2 was released. It's the last game of the genre to be 'fresh' in mind.
And bar 3rd strike, the last SF game to be any good!

(Bring on that controversy, yeah! :P)

Well said chap... and until recently I'd have agreed with you - When SFZ2 was released it was great but after playing Z2 and Z3 a few days ago I'd say Z3 is horribly broken but still fairly exciting, whereas Z2 now seems surprisingly dull and bereft of interesting possibilities... just like SF4! Still, I'd be interested in representin' at Z2 if the contest is held on the Saturday.

Excellent stuff Mulletgeezer, always nice to hear from you! Shoot Spadgy a PM, as Cap'n he's compiling a final list.

Z2 is a massively superior game to Z3, even if it doesn't have the same flamboyance. What counts is how tight the mechanics are - and you have to love the alpha counter. I couldn't ever find it dull, but each to their own.

SF4 doesn't even make it out of the starting blocks by comparison.
