-You must turn game speed to arcade for the PS versions.
-For Tiger Heli, you must set extends to 20K and every 80K, and keep the ship speed on fast.
-For Twin Cobra, you must set extends to 50K and every 150K. For Kyukyoku Tiger, you must set extends to 70K and every 200K.
-Using other settings is allowed, mention what setting in your score entry. Try to use harder settings, not easier ones.

Any version is accepted, but only MAME, PCB, and PS versions are grouped under one table. If you've wondered what the difference between TC and KT arcade is, Twin Cobra has no checkpoints and two player co-op, and Kyukyoku Tiger has checkpoints and two player alternating, and default extend settings are higher. Even if you're playing KT, it's not the KT for this KT board if your KT has TC traits.

GAME - DIFFICULTY - VERSION (if playing Mame/PCB/PS, list as "arcade")
NAME - SCORE - STAGE - INITIALS - VERSION - AUTOFIRE/DELAY

The first instance of "VERSION" really relates to whether you're playing an arcade-like version, or a port; then I know where to put you. The second instance is really used for the arcade board (PCB/MAME/PS would go here).

"AUTOFIRE/DELAY" is posted as "ON/4" or somesuch; this relates to whether you used autofire and what delay rate you used, note that the delay rate probably won't be needed for any ports either.

You can play the Mega Drive port, I just didn't put a table up because I don't have a score for it.

For that port, I think the Japanese version is the same as the US version, except there's no options menu in the Japanese version.

Awesome score! Are you recording these in an inp file? I'd love to check out a run.

That's a powerful Twin Cobra score Dragoforce. Congratulations!

EDIT:- Played some credits of Twin Cobra this weekend. Ended with a 3.4mil area 459 Stage 20. The way enemies shoot you point blank from the side on the 2nd loop onwards just boils my blood.
The game pulled another special move on me. I was sitting in the Last Boss safe spot with spread for 2 minutes, bullets flying past me as they should, then just before the Boss was about to die, one tank got a direct hit on me  . Pretty much sums the game up.

Thanks!

Sorry, no inp. I would say that biggest challenge of this game is keeping up the concentration since it's so long. I actually had piece of paper beside me filled with notes for the bosses attack patterns because I would sometimes loose concentration on the stages.

Great score.

You want to share some of your notes ? :)

I'm especially interested in 'exactly' where that last boss safe spot is.

Have not found it yet despite some help and effort :(

It's almost straight in the middle, just below the ramp thing or whatever it is. But it's not a complete safe spot since the tanks coming from the sides will still be able to hit you. The blue shot is must as well.

You can see it being demonstrated towards the end of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFueZhed ... re=related

press button B in the title screen when the helicopter is down
Japanese version default setting: hero count 3, extends 70K/200K, difficult Hard A (available 8 in total = Easy A,B,C,D, Hard A, B, C, D)

PC-Engine

River Raider - 1,368,250 - 1-9

pretty relaxed in relation to the MD default version - I like the harshness of the MD version more
think not, but exist a (hidden) chance to change the PCE version difficult level ?

I believe it loops somewhere around area 230. As for the area counter I have no idea, 9999? But since the game loops infinitely that is of little matter.

I played this tonight and I wasn't sure if I broke my new high score, but in fact I did! I'll have to give this one another run soon, then. I got to area 144 or so, almost at a million points.

I guess I blew the old score out of the park since I've been jacked up on Raiden 4 -- loop 2 steroids lately. ^_^
