Pretentious crap. Not fun to play. There's artistic games, and then there's games that are just lame and hide behind art as an excuse for crappy gameplay.

Ooooobviously you just aren't intelligent enough to understand the deep emotional story behind such an intricate and delicate game.

Also where does this guy get off charging 1000 bucks for something like that? And what type of dip stick goes and spends 1000 bucks on something like that?

Uh, it's not like he is charging money from anyone. The game is for free and you're welcome to make donations if you like it. Evidently someone did, and obviously that someone is not you.

I added another 'kind of' similar game to the first post. Give it a try.

I dunno, I kind of liked it. Not raving mad about it, but clever enough, and free.

jonny5, keep trying. :)

Passage I played last year. Also interesting. :P

Aha, finally got it.

I enjoyed it. Part of the fun comes from discovering the rules, but the touching story is nice.

I should of been more specific. When I said "that" I meant "including a new ending of your liking." I am well aware that the game itself is free.

That it is. It's really something.

Disregarding its deep meaning, what's your high score? I just got 1801.

Which is exactly why it's amazing.

Such a simply, stupid little game can make someone depressed.

I still can't figure this out.. I better keep trying.

Edit: Btw, this guy is actually quite fascinating. Robert Ashley's A Life Well Wasted podcast recently interviewed him. He is by far the strangest game maker I've ever heard of before. I'd suggest anyone who's interested in this games to give it a listen.

Really glad someone linked this up. The videogame is a pretty difficult medium to expand on nowadays, especially as they've become so formulaic. but I'm really impressed with how the simplicity of this little game is somehow captivating in a whole different way to 'regular' gaming.

Really awesome stuff.

Gravitation is a similar, though more complex game by the guy who made Passage.

Pretentious.

Ok, here's a walk through for you shallow scrubs.

1. Hold jellyfish, avoid black fish. Switch to Dark. Put in Shine.

2. Move clouds up, move your girl to the bottom, unearth statue. Switch to Painful.

3. Put bubbles all over you, put in swim.

4. Put in free, and move around, killing demon ladies.

5. Hopefully you get it by now.

In before I ruined the majesty of this unique gaming experience.
