Ocean Commander.
Yeah I like it, very fun game. Gameplay wise it reminds me of Walker on the AMIGA. Weapons become very destructive and visually very pleasing, when fully powered up.

More Einhander, and some Dangun for good measure.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

Been revisiting Gradius V for fun, and trying out the Type 3 (Thunder Cross) Options. I'd forgotten how satisfying this game was to just steamroll through... it's a hell of a lot more entertaining than I've given it credit for in subsequent years. Almost a movie-like experience, ie not something I'll play for months on end, but good occasional spectacle.

Playing some Z-Lock.
Amazingly, unlike most other Hello World Project games, it doesn't give you massive gobs of lives...

Been playing Coryoon on the old PC Engine tonight. I still love this silly shooter.

After playing through tons of shmups i'd somehow missed, of the Big 3 i've realized Raizing is my favorite. Psikyo a distant 2nd, Cave 3rd.
Put in a couple hours of Battle Garegga today, i've hardly played it before so it's about time i gave it some lovin'.
I'm really enjoying the controls, it just seems more fluid than APB & BB for some reason. Might just be that the ship speeds more closely match my playing style.

Starforce (Arc) this game is pretty fun! The enemy types are fun to learn, the music is good (even though there's like 3 tracks) and it's just really classic. I'm trying to get the 50k bonus from destroying the assembling orb thing but it's pretty hard, it seems I need the autofire powerup to do it easier or something.
Also some Gradius IV here and there, trying to get the 2-loop clear but the game just continues to piss me off in the 2nd loop. I've played the game for almost 90 hours now! That's 25 more than I put into Gradius V, defintely my fave Gradius game and more people should try to clear it.

Gradius [and hating it, it's just cheap.]
Batrider [and dieing w/o knowing what hit me, also I suck tonight.]
DoDonPachi [and realizing that I suck tonight, however this is the first time I've no missed the second level, I usually get hit right before the boss...]
[May 3rd edit:]
Tried to see how far I'd get in Radiant Silvergun by loading it up with 10 credits in MAME [that's 30 lives!], I got to Stage 3e's boss [I think, was there a 3f?]
Yeah, I suck at RSG.
