Good TATE solution for HDTVs

Post by Konsolkongen »

I found this company a while back called Industrie Design, that makes wallmounts for flatpanels. The cool thing about these is that they can be rotated 360-degrees, great for tateing your screen!!

I bought one of their wall-mounts a while ago and i have been very happy with it.

This is what it looks like:

(I know the colours are fucked. I took the picture when the title screen was just coming up.)

This is the wall-mount i got:

It can be used for 20" to 40" TV's and can carry up to 25kg. (My tv is 40" and weighs 18.5kg without tablestand).

The wallmount works GREAT and its very easy to turn the screen either way. There is no colour FU's when turning a LCD monitor, so playing a shooter in TATE and switching to a normal game can be done in a matter of minutes!

There is one problem however. The Wallmount should be able to carry the TVs weight just fine, but the "ball" the TV hangs on can't hold the TV steady so it will "lean forward" no matter how hard you tighten the nut on the backside. I have placed a simple stopper between the wall and the TV, it looks ugly but WTF, it works...

Its a good idea to replace the "Wing nut" with two ot three normal nuts (heh) to make sure the ball doesn't loosen after awhile.

The wallmount was about 1200DKK, with shipping from France to Denmark, a VESA 200x200 to 300x300 adaptor and bank transfer. Its a lot of money, but compared to the prices normal wallmounts are in danish shops its not too bad.

I have been using it for about 4 months now and the TV hasn't fallen of the wall yet :) I will definitely recommend it to others and i'm sure lots of you could have use for one.

Email the company for shipping prices and payment info:

Does the wallmount sort of "snap in" at 90° rotation ?

Unfortunately not. You will need to adjust a little to get the perfect 90 degrees, not a big deal.
