Ah, that makes sense - thanks. I'll edit my post.

Whoa just got my Deathsmiles stick!

Totally wasn't expecting this since I got no notice at all from Amazon but bam! there it is today.

Shame I have absolutely zero time to play either DS or with the stick since I'm packing to move right now. : /

JLF-TM-8T-SK-K

Whatever that means. Any clue? Feels ok, but not much different from the EX2.

Looks good, and would look even better sitting next to my Death Smiles stick. Let me know if you grow tired of it. I thought you would end up getting an EX-SE instead, since you're over there. Guess not.

Actually do you mind opening it up and taking some shots? I'd like to know how moddable it is.

Picked up the game today and quickly played through it once.

After the slightly disappointing DDP, Death Smiles looks and plays awesome. I like the high res Xbox 360 version graphics, but was just a little disappointed that the game doesn't run native in 16:9 full screen. You can stretch the screen in the options, but who's gonna do that?

I tried to get an EX-SE but got yanked around by Hori and wasn't able to order it. Now it looks like they're not even planning on making any more despite obvious demand. Idiots.

I'll open it up sometime next week probably.

If that Deathsmiles stick had a Seimitsu LS-32 in it, I'd be all over it.

If this does turn out to be region free as suggested does that mean that you can purchase the Black Label DLC with your own regions points if its got a marketplace link in the game?

I'm just curious since I'm going to be picking this up soon.

What are you guys using to play: the 360 controller or can you recommend a good stick?

Thanks!

I'll be using a Hori EX2 modded with Sanwa GT-Y Octagonal gate & OBSF-30 buttons to play my copy

The standard Hori EX2 will be fine I just had mine modded for use on SFIV & Blazblue when it comes out in June.

Pads suck bum for anything shooter/Fighter related nowhere near accurate enough for fast twitch movements required by the shooters.

i've got a streetfighter arcade stick with a semitsu joystick, which i believe should be pretty good but i barely use it, much prefer a saturn pad. i'm going to give the stick more of a try but if i still don't like it i think i'll be modding a saturn pad to work on the 360 :?

To add to my earlier post does anyone know what the free card is you get with it as well?

Im going to use my SFIV LE stick with this puppy reason I got it (more for me shmups than SFIV lol). I had the first gen Hori EX Pro3 on pS3 when VF5 came out their nice sticks. Flogged it when got SFIV LE stick for both systems :)

Is the SF4 TE fightstick region free?

I've been thinking of getting one anyways, and if the stick is region free and good then that would pretty much seal the deal for me.

Just a heads up, there was some rumors that a MvC2 tournament stick will be popping up in the near future. It showed up on several online store's databases a while back. Considering there's currently the teaser which supposidly is linked to a XBLA/PSN version of MvC2 port, I wouldn't go out and pay the $250+ a lot of people are wanting for their SFIV Tournament sticks.

I missed out on the SFIV stick, and my eyes are peeled when this thing is announced.

Yuck, marvel players have notoriously bad taste, it'd probably have Happ (or better yet, imitation Happ) parts and having Magneto looking really angry and glowing bright orange or something. Playing shooters with Happ sticks blows, by the way.

On an unrelated note, I WANT TO PLAY THIS DAMN GAME. I'm really glad my roommate likes goth lolis and has poor financial self-control.

Tournament Edition SFIV sticks had pure Sanwa parts, and all the wires are on quick connects, so you can modify them easily. The stick itself is on a universal mounting plate, so you can put basically anything you want into the sucker with little to no hard modification. Considering how high of demand the sticks were in during the release and their current pricing on the second-hand market, I'm sure Mad Catz wants to make some more bank. I see no reason why they'd change to lesser standards for a premium version of a stick when people still want that premium standard.

As for the art, it's designed to have a removable art. In fact, Mad Catz even released templates to make your own art.

I was a bit peeved with Gamestop canceled my preorder, to say the least.

I just wish they'd pump more out. I'm kicking myself in the ass for canceling both preorders I had on Amazon for TE sticks. Kinda silly that we're a few months past launch and they're not any easier to find. If they come up with a MVSC2 TE stick that's identical to the SF4 stick- I'm all over that.

sorry, i don't think i could sell anything i've soldered, it'd probably fall to bits in the post! that and i don't even really want to make one myself, as it's going to be a major pain in the ass cause i'm so bad at soldering, that's why i've stuck with the 360 pad this long :? (if i end up doing it and it's not too difficult though i'll let you know)

it's surprising no one makes something like a saturn pad for the 360 :(

i'm really looking forward to death smiles too :D

The art for that DE stick is so nice. Wish I had ordered one, but it's a lot to pay, just for those graphics. I guess I'll stick with my cheapie US EX2.
