RQ: raiden IV
RQ: raiden IV
hello,
I play this magnific game a lot and see something on demo that I never seen before, another bomb style (not a big explosion classic bomb) but one that I didn't succeeded, somebody knows about it ?
another thing, please can you tell me where can I find every 1up ?
(i know there is one on 3rd stage but not every time, is it some points to make or anything else to do ? )
thanks

In stage 4 on the first loop, you have to destroy all of the stone heads only after they've lit up. In stage 3 on the second loop, you get one for destroying all of the rail tanks without letting any escape.erzane wrote:another thing, please can you tell me where can I find every 1up ?

thanks for your reply
on the demo of the 1st stage, on the end of the demo before ranking
watch well you will see it, all ships explose in one time (ships or houses in ground)
all of the '''stone heads only''' after they've lit up. and no destroy the ships ?
In stage 3 on the second loop, you get one for destroying all of the rail tanks without letting any escape. = yes I knew it it's a bomb you can earn

All of the stone heads '''only after they've lit up'''. You may destroy or ignore the other ships attacking you as you see fit.erzane wrote:all of the '''stone heads only''' after they've lit up. and no destroy the ships ?

The general etiquette for this algorithm requires dismantling of the statues, which is plausible only after they've been ignited, and is executed by the game's own internal clock. The prerequisite demands you refrain from attacking prior to their execution. Hope this helps!
I haven't actively browsed/used this forum in many years and it's no longer an accurate representation of me.
I have retired from genre-specific content creation after 13 years, but I'll always love this little genre in my own personal way.

I seen the statues lighting today on stage 4
but no succeeded to win the 1life
must I destroy all them after they lighting ? without destroy the other which are not yet lighting, ?? it's difficult
a 2nd thing , I saw my ship begin lighting to on stage 4, but I dont know what is it ?
somebody knows about that ?
p.s. it's not the same lighting like when we can concentrate and lauch all missiles
but no succeeded to win the 1life

second thing is concerning the ship, yes like I told before , the ship being luminescent (it shines) but I dont know what can happend in this situation

Do you mean when blue flashes are sparkling on your ship?erzane wrote: second thing is concerning the ship, yes like I told before , the ship being luminescent (it shines) but I dont know what can happend in this situation
This happens when you are scratching the bullets but it doesn't affect the game or your score in any way.

Well, that is a nice game. I think you enjoyed it while you are playing. But I don't know where you could find the 1up.

I found the 1up it's ok now
I remember that I did it like you told me in the past but I forgot it since I didnt play much those last month
so, the 1up is ok
about the question of the strange explosion on the demo perhaps it's a mistake of my self I dont know, so it's not so important
but it rest a mystery of the ship shining (lighting?)
I m sure it did it but I dont know why and how

Is the demo with the strange explosion you talk about a Youtube video? or a recorded high score run you can access via the in-game world leaderboard? Either way if you have details of how we can view it that would be great.
Without seeing the 'demo' - I'm guessing that the different style of bomb is one used by somebody using the extra ship you can download through Xbox Live (Fighting Thunder Mk II).
With the extra life on level 1-4, to make things clearer you start shooting the statue on the furthest right when you first fly into the area with the statues (in fact, it is the furthest right of all the COMPLETE statues you can see). You then destroy them in order as they come in from the right. Shooting the other enemies has no effect on the 1UP, but I advise going for them too!
Now, what you call the 'lighting' effect I've been hassling people about too. Obviously, when you stop firing for a few moments, your ship flashes and then twinkles to show you a charged missile shot is available.
However, as you say, there is a different effect where the ship shimmers gold, and I can't see what causes this or what effect it has on the game. I thought it may be to indicate you are beating your previous best score any time it is flashing, but it sometimes happens very fast at the start of level one. It happens in Boss Rush too.
At somepoint I will create a full ST on this game - I'm working on it...

A quick confirm needed from anyone that's extensively played the PCB (or owns it)...
Does Double Play really exist?
(I'm not getting the command right...insert coin, press P1 Start, hold down for P1 and P2's joysticks for four seconds, then press P2's Button 2? And is a credit on both players needed?)

If I remember correctly, that's the same as the Raiden III PCB, except you don't push P1 start at the beginning. Just insert coins, hold down sticks, and then when double play comes up press start. You could try that?A_Civilian wrote:A quick confirm needed from anyone that's extensively played the PCB (or owns it)...

Double play should certainly exist - it's a real standard of the newer Raidens...

Got the Double Play command to work.
At the Difficulty Select Screen, Hold P1 & P2's sticks Down for four seconds, then press P2's Button 2. If done correctly, it'll say Double Play Mode near the bottom of the screen. Only one credit is required, so that's cool. What's also cool is that they kept the traditional "teamwork spark" attack (shoot the other ship with your main weapon) intact.

It's awesome isn't it!? Submit a score over in the high-score thread and I'll open up an Arcade Mode Double Play table...A_Civilian wrote:Got the Double Play command to work.
