For those of us who haven't travelled but have the stools - River Service sell them new, and Yahoo Auctions Japan normally has some used too.

Thanks cools! That helps a lot.

Does anyone happen to have the web url for River Service? Google was not showing me any relevant results.

River Service: http://www.rs2006.co.jp/overseas.htm

But Akihabarashop.jp can also get these chairs for you if you email them and ask.

For cools,

Glad to see some candy cab love with Success Corp's Psyvariar Revision. Ain't it cool to watch some of those cool Psy-R superplays stored on the Taito G-Card format? The stereo output on the ol' Taito G-Net mobo sounds great if you use an G-Net stereo harness adapter & your candy cab(s) support it. The G-Net mobo can support up to a pair of 100w bookshelf speaker setup and still not break a sweat or overheat for that matter! Some pretty serious arcade hardware, that the G-Net mobo is. ^_~

It'll be T-Cut when I really have nothing better to do. Getting the door off is awkward, and it'll take about 2 hours of polishing to get rid of the yellowing without going through the paint down to the metal.

Here's my New Astro City. I bought it a few month ago with a broken tube and no chassis. I thought it couldn't be that hard to find a replacement - I was wrong . But finally I found an awesome Panasonic broadcast monitor with a newish Toshiba class A 29" tube and a 15-64 khz multisync chassis. Proud as hell now... :D

What did you use for paint? Looks pretty clean. Did you just dust it on with a spray can? I would image the hinges would be tough to paint as paint can get stuck between the grooves and look like crap.

I thought I would bump this thread. I got called last night from Cheerio or someone like that stating I am the first delivery of the IC09 cabinet selection since I'm nearest. I'm sure a lot of others will be getting theirs today or tomorrow.

I will have a grand total of 4 machines in my garage 8) .

This would be a good sticky, its a catalog of what everyone owns or did own.

Got my cabinets from Grant. Started cleaning them up.

I scratched the bezel on one of them, so gutted. Pics on the way.

Nice! Who needs furniture anyway? A bed and 6 cabs is all I'd need if I was still single. Of course that might also keep you single.

Single shots of each one

The 2 new astro's were part of the IC09 show last week. So far I've taken off any unnecessary decals (virtua strikers strip), replaced buttons and one joystick, polished the outsides as much as I could, taken out any sticky tape residue with a lot of scrubbing and pledge (using a tea towel).

The scratch on the left astro is what I done. Its on the black bezel and the undercoating is white (great move Sega). I was thinking of just finely using a black marker pen. I don't see any other way to get rid of it because its not so much a scratch, its an eyesore.

Apparently i'm the first delivery (lucky me), as I am only 20 miles away from point of origin. I met some guy called Christian this morning, posts here as Cheerio or something.. Nice guy.

I hope everyone posts their pics when they get their cabinets.

Oh, the Astro on the right has screen burn. You can only see it in a certain light, but its not noticeable during gameplay at all. The insides of the cabinets are quite appalling. How so much shite gets in there is beyond me!!!! I mean think about it! How many dirty grimey things do you put in your cabinets, whether its for arcade or home use?

your usual scrapes and scratches and a little discolouration on the cp.the coin slot a bit fag burnt and a little chunk out the cp at the front but apart from that pretty clean and that screen is real nice! think i prefer it to the astro cos the controls are so well thought out and the rotate of course..also the cp is very sturdy like an astro 8)

My Konami cabs are now gone, replaced by a Jaleco Pony Mark III 25". Only a nice short 2 year wait for one to become available. This cab is absolute tate heaven, couldn't ask for a better STG cab.

And I've finally got my Egret II finished to look at.
