Indeed. Odds of that happening are pretty damn lousy.I'd be extremely surprised if they allow US Revolution owners to download the Japanese games (Famicom Wars, etc.).
Even with the Revolution having legit emulation of older games, it's still way much better to own and play on the hardware it originally was designed for.iatneH wrote:I'm surprised to see Sin & Punishment and Dezaemon 3D.
Heh, like UFO, I just bought S&P too, but hey, it's nice to have something physical and more or less permanent...
Surprising that no one's getting a hard-on over F-Zero 2 and Zelda...ryosnk wrote:Satteleview Games

It also lists franchises like Killer Instinct and Perfect Dark, which are owned by Microsoft as part of their Rare contract terms. In short the list is not only unofficial, it's impossible.Valgar wrote:Again, this list isn't official at all.
The list is not official, it's based on a post a Famitsu forum member posted which they then printed as a possible lineup. The IGN article is poorly written IMHO since it calls the list "official" but then the writer contradicts himself by pointing out it's just a fan made list. For cryin' out loud...Valgar wrote:source?

June 6, 2005 - The latest issue of Famitsu Magazine in Japan reveals that all of Nintendo's first party-published NES, S-NES, and Nintendo 64 classics will be available for download on Revolution.
The publication offers no specifics on games, but an overzealous message board poster calling himself 'myahon' put together a preliminary list of some 214 possibilities based on their first party status.
Iwata says, "Though the baseless rumor flows in the internet that the virtual console download service is free,
it is not scheduled to deliver it in free.
maybe download it (old games) as a privilege when consumers buy a new game,
maybe download it by consistent of the campaign at limited time,
variety methods will be used.
Using the properties in the past, I want to take shape that the profit is paid to Nintendo to the end. "
Thank you Iwata, you clueless, clueless man. Yes, I'm sure people will be buying as many new games as possible just to play old games they should (like me) still own on their NES, SNES, ect. Good move there, Satoru.Valgar wrote:oh from IGN, yes lets trust them.

I'm not paying money so I can download ROMS. Emulation is so fake. Still, wifi Mario Kart sounds like it will kick some ass.Dylan1CC wrote:Satoru Iwata, forcing you to pay to download games you should still own (unless your mom sold your Super Nintendo without your knowledge at garage sale like FatCobra). Truly this man...*swoons in admiration* has as he said at GDC....the "HEART OF A GAMER!"
Oh well, at least we get free wifi Mario Kart and Animal Crossing.
Let's not go ripping on IGN. OK, so they made a mistake here, big effin' deal! It's not as if there are no errors in the Xenocide files.Valgar wrote:oh from IGN, yes lets trust them.
