Operation Star Hammer - Xbox LIVE Community Game
Operation Star Hammer - Xbox LIVE Community Game
Stumbled across this little Xbox LIVE Community Game today.
Operation Star Hammer. It looks fairly rudimentary, but its still a shmup released by a true indie on a current console, so thumbs up for that.

All the horizontal and vertical "traditional" shmups I've played from the community games have pre-1982 level gameplay.
If, by chance, someone manages to make a game as complex as say, Gradius 1, and make it fun, then I'll be interested. I get the impression that some of these people go into making a shmup thinking it will be easy to make.

XOP would kick arse on XBL Commnuity, but it would be under appreciated unless you promote that there are loli's hiding in the ship.Udderdude wrote:I could attempt to sign up for it, likely the only thing you would get is a XBox version of XOP Black w/ some levels from the original XOP mixed in .. which might be pretty cool, I guess.

lol... for real, DO IT man... that game would kick some major ass!agustusx wrote:XOP would kick arse on XBL Commnuity, but it would be under appreciated unless you promote that there are loli's hiding in the ship.Udderdude wrote:I could attempt to sign up for it, likely the only thing you would get is a XBox version of XOP Black w/ some levels from the original XOP mixed in .. which might be pretty cool, I guess.
now, i'd love it as it is and all that, but if you want a lil bit of success there, you should make some high-res sprites/textures... most ppl with a X360 are graphics ho's.
Both of the currently released XOPs are solid games, man. Fun to play. Add 'em to that handful of gems.Udderdude wrote:I could attempt to sign up for it, likely the only thing you would get is a XBox version of XOP Black w/ some levels from the original XOP mixed in .. which might be pretty cool, I guess.
