Shiny. It's by PomPom, so I suppose it can't be all bad.

Well, there's a thread I started some time ago:

Still haven't tried the game though. Actually I totally forgot about this.

It's okay, yeah. Quite a bit like Uridium. I'm not sure if I like it quite as much as the original PC version, though I can't really explain why. It feels as though there are far more enemy waves on each level, but that might be me misremembering how it was to begin with.

As far as PomPom stuff goes, it's not quite up there with either of the Mutant Storm games on the 360, but it's about the next best thing.

can anyone say whether this has additional levels, compared to space tripper?
trailer looks more remake than sequel, that's all.

Isn't it only $5? I bought it from the EU store a while ago for ~£3 or whatever it was. Decent little game - the score attack levels are good for a quick blast.

Yeah, the game is only $5. I'll probably pick it up soon, can't go wrong for the price of a lunch.

It's decent and worth the $5, but I find the Defenderish controls a bit questionable.

I'd rather have Sidearms style fire control (fire left or right, no Flip button) and movement (no thrust/inertia/drift, release joystick and you stop moving). The movement feels more like you're controlling a hovertank/Cybersled than a spaceship.

The combo system in this is good. Killing enemies builds up the combo meter, and you need to keep the kills coming so it doesn't tick down. Filling it doubles the multiplier (max 8x) and gives you a bonus point item (5000 x multiplier).

IMO, this rates right in between Mutant Storm and MS Empire.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

The inertia doesn't bother me too much. When I die, I get the feeling that I screwed up rather than blaming the controls which is a sign that they got it about right.

Any huge scores to report yet? I think my highest rank is #15 on the Flypod challenge (I forget exactly but somewhere around 1.3 or 1.5mill).
