Terra Force is correct. I can't believe I finally knew one and got here too late. Nimitz, you know your shmups.
Since it's been several hours since his guess, I'll go ahead and post one...This is one of my all-time favorite shmups.

Nope. Late '80s arcade game from a well-known company. Conversions appeared on a number of different home computers, but not on any consoles as far as I know.

Don't know why, but Saint Dragon popped into my head. Even though it did get a PCE port.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Similar name - maybe that's why.
Obvious Irem graphics; I considered EDF and even R-Type because I thought Dragon Breed didn't get any home ports.

I saw Dragon Breed many years ago in an arcade and never got a chance to play it. The one good thing about this topic is that it's showing me some great shooters that I've missed along the way.

Yeah, it's odd that it appeared on c64, speccy, amstrad, atari ST, and amiga, yet not on any consoles.
So Ed, what pic wilt thou post?

Here's one...it should prove to be quite easy, but it's the game I'm currently playing so I thought I'd go ahead and post it. Well I'm off to bed...ZZZzzz

Argh. That's maddeningly familiar looking.
BTW, for me the good thing about this thread is that it has the only hi-score table on this forum that I'm able to get on somewhere other than the bottom.
