Emilio and Fumiko's introduction is legendary.
Go away, Protagonist.

Make sure you watch the Prologues in the dialogue player. They don't show when you start the game.

I honestly thought I was the only one who cared about trying to follow the storyline in this game. Good to know I'm not alone.

Definitely not. The story's my favorite thing about it.

How is the "Classic Controller" really? The stock d-pad has weak diagonals, though this is probably the only game I'd use it for.

It's stiff and feels awkward. I'm a long time Saturn pad user and I didn't like it all that much. Thankfully, there's a Super Nintendo Wii classic controller. On the down side, they're fairly rare as they were only released as a Club Nintendo item. But I've sold my Wii, so mine is just sitting around, barely touched. If you're interested, I'll part with it.

Hopefully, Nintendo will release that controller here in a SNES version since Club Nintendo is in the US now.

Option1: You can buy a SNES to GC adapter from retrousb.com for 19$ (works fine with shiki and all VC games)
Option2: Buy a Hori Stick for the Wii for around 50$

I didn't have any problem with diagonals or either the WiiMote or the classic, but that SNES controller looks pretty cool and I have some club Nintendo points saved up. I prefer the classic over the WiiMote due to the bigger d-pad, though.
