That's a pretty impressive list of shooters. Guess MS is trying to jump start that shmup fanbase.

Seriously. You could cut that list in half and still have tons of mediocre games.

So I played Aegis Wing last night, the free XBLA shmup, and man is it bad. Triggerheart is cool though, I only have the demo of that right now.

Microsoft is doing a shooting festa. Meanwhile Sony is doing this:

A bunch of idiots chatting in a virtual loft.

I guess that explains a lot.

Beta is the new excuse for broken as shit production enviornments. I guess Google made it so trendy (Starting with Google mail beta), everyone has to slap Beta on their shit! To be fair though, Google's betas actually worked most of the time :P

How many platforms consistently have good shmups though? The only console that I really enjoy most everything is Dreamcast. If you go back, half of the releases were, in fact, crap.

It's too easy of a game design, and people just churn out crap.

Is there a way to save the video to your hard drive or does it only stream it when you select it from the menu?

The funniest part of home is that they replicate the BAD things about the real world in there too with no good reason.

Having to line up to play the arcade machines is pretty shocking.

RE: X360 line up.

I hope beyond hope that the Cave shooters are going to XBLA rather than to disk release and that's what the delay is all about. Apparently the games were rejected as XBLA games initially, but hopefully there's a change of heart on that front. As XBLA games, it'd allow people to get the games if they really wanted to without being hit by the inevitable Japanese NTSC-J region lock :(
