Steel Saviour for PC. Finally managed to clear it. Despite all its flaws it's still a damn fine game and the boss battles, while short, are really good and the overall graphics/effects are excellent.

Still Mushihimesama... I nabbed the maniac mode 1cc (my first cave 1cc!) recently but my next goal is to improve my score to land in the top 10 on the boards, at least. I'm going back and forth using my HRAP and teh PS2 controller to play, but overall I'm more comfortable with the PS2 controller.

I've also been playing a little Parodii' on the PSP here and there. Gotta love those tunes.

Raiden Fighters Jet. Fucking sweet game. Interesting and varied scoring system. I recently clipped 74 million and am still a ways away from a clear.
Feedback will set you free.

Currently Score running Lotus Land Story, and failing miserably.Guess that's what happens when you hug the top of the screen and rush into every single bullet like an idiot.

I'm also playing through Cho-Ren-Sha 68k. I'm playing it in the exact opposite fashion that playing LLS (Avoid everything). Still failing miseribly. I just can't win. :(

If I could have gotten it working, I'd have joined you a week or two ago. This CD drive seems to be acting up a bit. Maybe I'll replace it if I ever get bored again.

Started to figure out the scoring, got 2 extends and then choked right before the last boss...the amount of variety in difficulty, play style, level selection etc is incredible. Feels like a completely different game each play depending on the choices you make. Doesn't feel like a Cave game to me, it's weird!

ketsui......and marvel super heroes.....this game is awesome!!!

although it seems the control schemes are quite good for my g/f's 'slam everything repeatedly at once' technique.....

quite effective if i dont block all the time

ketsui is still pissing in my face and laughing.....but i like it

I was browsing around the Hi-Score thread and saw one of Dimahoo. I hadn't heard of it before now, so I decided to try it out. FUCK THIS GAME COOL! Fast everything, items raining out of every orifice imaginable, playing as a samurai dragon guy, shooting a giant turtle tank, it was love at first credit!
I'm probably not going to be making any hi-scores, but I'm sure as hell going to play the hell out of this game. This and Cho Ren Sha are rapidly becoming my all time favorite manic shooters.

Still pumping away at LLS Normal (Yeah I suck). I'm getting close to that elusive 1cc, but I'm still losing too many lives to stupid mistakes, rank increases, and stage 4. My run this time around ended simply because I decided it was a good idea to park my turtle-riding ass at the top middle of the screen when enemies were spawning. I was on stage 6 too. At the very least, I nearly made it to the 40,000,000 mark, which makes me feel that one day, I might, just might, not completely suck at shmups. Delusional, I know.

That just reminds me, I need to work on my Nomltest score...

EDIT:

1cc complete. This the second game I've 1cc'd(though I don't like to count that Eden's Edge one). Naturally, this got me into a really good mood! :D Hopefully, I'll be able to complete another game soon, I have my eyes on ChoRenSha...but I'm not so delusional to think I can finish that one anytime soon...

Why am I still playing Darius Twin? why haven't I beaten it yet?

Oh yes, its because I keep getting bored and playing other things.

Where do you work, jonny5? Seems like a fun place :).

I've been trying to focus my play some more, specifically working on ESP Ra.De and Thunder Dragon 2, but last night I tried Dimahoo out and had a lot of fun. I'm far too focused on item sets, and have lost many credits while still on the first stage. The "hold start, hold A, tap start" method to get the item list to stay up is nice.

I've worked for Shipping and receiving before at my College and I believe you when you say it's very laid back.

I work 60% of the time and the rest I pretty much chill surf the net. The guys there were pretty nice as long as you got your work done nobody bothered you.

During the time when it was quiet or when I was having my lunch breaks, I'd go take a nap somewhere in the building and play video games at the Arcade on campus. They had Virtua Fighters 4 Evolution there and it was Free. Too bad though that no one really played it except for me.

Good times though :)

I was impressed when I visited the guys who developed Heavenly Sword for PS3 as they had to candies in the office - one with Batrider and one with Mushi Futari last time I went.

But they are a game company so I guess it's a little more expected.

I'm playing the occasional game of Dino Riki, which is still very underrated. Once you get the hang of the jumping part and use the wing pick-ups in the right spots it's not such a difficult game afterall.

It's funny, I played it also a while ago on my dusty NES.
And I think it's still very difficult even with the wing pick-ups, it took me a while to loop. :?
