A few years back, Alamone told me of a strange bonus in Raiden Fighters 2. He did not know how to trigger it, and it was called "DEAD POINT!"
Lo and behold, I triggered this bonus somehow in Raiden Fighters 2:
I don't know how I triggered it, but the screenshot shows the truck colliding with the medium tank, which would normally trigger the Miclus appearance.
I wonder if this mysterious "Dead Point" bonus can be excuted on the real Seibu Kaihatsu SP1 mobo setup? Could you tell us a bit more how this bonus came up, Alluro?
It sounds intriguing...always new stuff to find out and discover when it comes to old arcade shmup titles like you mention. ^_~
Probably a bonus that has activated when you're dead.
so long and tanks for all the spacefish unban shw <Megalixir> now that i know garegga is faggot central i can disregard it entirely

Well, I did die shortly after this screenshot was taken. I was flashing with invincibility at the time (there's my ship's shadow on the bottom center off to the right). Also, it shows the truck running into the tank that would normally produce the Miclus. Perhaps that's how it's triggered:

Maybe it just acts as a multiplier for any other bonuses you might have activated?
If they wanted to do that they'd put it in Jet, but it apparently doesn't apply there so nyoro~n

In Raiden Fighters 2,
if your character dies (and gets a Game Over),
"DEAD POINT" displays on the screen, however, what goes on then?
The desert level scrolls down anyways, no matter what.
