would you consider people drinking daily a hobby?

i smoke occasionally with friends but more often than not i am home alone playing games and smoking the occasional bowl....

its not a huge part of my life....just a way to unwind.....but either way...im home playing games....whether i have weed or not....it makes no difference to me....

i dont go out of my way to get weed...i get it from my buddy so its not a matter of searching....its there if i want it.....more often than not lately i just cant be bothered with it....i play better sober anyways, and ive been playing hardcore for score a lot more in recent times

It was the machinist who stated it was a hobby, I was just following his trends. My belief is people should do what they want. But they should be responsible and do what they want in a moderation that doesn't cause family or friends to be concerned. I am concerned for my brother, not because of his health, but because of his attitude to anything that is responsible. I know 2 people (one whom is my bro) who have gone over an overdraft limit to get weed. To me that is a ridiculous situation.

I also have one friend who comes round my house to smoke weed because when he visits his parents who live down the road he can't smoke in front of them because he is hiding the fact from them.

Another thing, Barclays kept fining my friend up to £120 a month or something for exceeding his overdraft. I gave him £400 to get him under it, 2 days later he comes round with weed. I was slightly pissed off tbh. I think I should have this unwritten rule not to lend people money if they smoke weed, because 99% of the time they will use it for that very purpose.

Sorry for spilling this out on here, i've had this boiled up inside me for quite a while

not a worry...i agree with what you are saying....moderation is important in any aspect of ones life....and if stuff like weed starts to take precedent over more important things, it is a problem

as i said before, some people just cant balance that.... i used to be that way...and then as i got older i realized it wasnt that important....i dont need to be high to have fun or relax....but in moderation it is fine

Yeah neorichie, when people are running into money troubles because of drugs it's definitely a problem, and when you lend a friend some cash to help them get out of a tight spot and they buy weed with it you aren't supposed to get 'a little pissed', you're supposed to punch them in the face and ask them what the fuck their problem is... don't let people treat you like that, especially not out of control stoners, because they'll probably just keep doing it. to a degree...i know people like that....but on the same hand i know just as many people who smoke weed constantly and they are still VERY energetic and always on the move, and very productive....

I just can't find it in me to give a shit about anything. I've had countless discussions with people about why the fuck we bother, and no-one can answer, everyone seems to busy having children or getting married. I swear if there was a switch on the back of my head saying 'OFF' I would have pressed it years ago. I'm not depressed as such, well maybe a little, I just can't see the point of anything. Only buying posessions makes me enjoy life.

I really don't like weed at all, too much impurities that fuck with the effects of the active substance. I prefer hash, it doesn't immediately knock you out or turn you into a vegetable (believe me Dutch weed has the power to do that, lol), but will just take you into a mellow state of mind.

I've been smoking daily for twenty years. I smoke before, after and sometimes during everything I do. It has never held me back from anything except movie theaters which I haven't liked since I was a kid anyway. Wait, I did get fired from a shitty job at Nintendo for pissing hot but that was a dead end anyway and I'm glad I found out in eight days instead of four months (longest term of a temp tester's contract at the time). My job now is intense and I'm glad I have the freedom to be myself.

I started smoking at age 16. Before that I would punch somebody in the face (whether I thought I could win the fight or not) at least once a week. Any little shit could get you socked. Literally the second I found the grass, all that disappeared. I have been in one streetfight since and it was in 1993. It changed me from night to day.

It was almost always a social thing for me. I'd get together with my friends and roll a few things up and light up. Smoke session, party, whatever. I didn't smoke by myself much. Atleast with a roommate or something. Most of the peeps I knew weren't hard up on money. Some dudes that lived across the hall from me always had like an O or QP in their posession and telling me to come over for a blunt. They were the crazy ones.

See, here is where there is a huge discrepancy between your experience and mine. I smoked mostly with the kind of people who aimed for straight As and were members of Model U.N. My girlfriend at the time smoked more weed than anybody and was in tons of advanced classes.

Are you sure those people you mentioned wouldn't be fuck-offs no matter what they had available to them?
