Rayforce / Gunlock
--------------
Strikers 1999 is an interesting choice, but I seem to have trouble running Psikyo ROMs in
MAME for some weird reason.
I vote for rayforce because ololololo cake.
I pwn at this game. Also, a Taito game on a Not Taito Week = LOL
Out of the three games listed this week, I'd have to say this one is my favorite. Also, I've been meaning to put some more effort into this game, so hopefully this'll give me some motivation to do so.
I vote for Rayforce / Gunlock because, I think, among these three games, Rayforce is not complicated to make points like the others.
Teamvoting

Team vote, and pissing off Twiddle is a nice bonus.
Team vote.
Team vote, plain and simple.
Mainly because it is the most enjoyable of all the
games during the week, but also because it doesn't have the 'pick up medals
at a right moment' scoring system.
Thunder Dragon 2 has no chance of winning and Strikers 3 spends too much time with the bullet speed setting cranked past Ludicrous. It will either inflict a massive case of Stockholm Syndrome or cause me to cut myself, and neither sounds particularly desirable.
annoying Twiddle is fun
I hate Strikers, and am not considering TD2. Besides, music by Zuntata will definitely make it enjoyable.
Because it's so cool, and I really like the music. Also, it's brand new
and doesn't suck as much as Thunder Dragon II.
I vote for Rayforce, since Thunder Dragon 2 is shit and Strikers 1999 pisses me off to absolutely no end.
Stickin' it to the man!
Strikers 1945 III

タイトーじゃない!彩京だ!がんばれ、彩京!
実は:
―「Rayforce」は僕のパソコンに遅過ぎる
―僕は「Thunder Dragon II」のロムを見つけられない。
―「Rayforce」はタイトーからのだ!「タイトーじゃない週」と思うよ!なんじゃこりゃ!??!
(Translation thanks to kozo):
Not Taito! It's Psikyo! Go Psikyo!
By the way:
- "Rayforce" is really slow on my computer
- I can't find the ROM of "Thunder Dragon II"
- "Rayforce" is a Taito game! I thought this was "Not Taito Week!" What the hell!??!
Because the PCB is a lovely shade of green, and I have
one, so I won't have to play it on fucking MAME on my poxy tiny 13"
laptop! Also, I love the other Strikers, but have never put any time into
partying like it's 1999. Did Rayforce in the Macaw shooting tourney this
year too!
While I could always just choose Rayforce or Thunder Dragon and try to continue from where I left off, I think playing a Psikyo shooter is just more fun for a tournament like this.
For me it was mostly a choice between this and Rayforce, and honestly the deciding factor for this was that Im a Psikyo fan. In particular, I've always liked the Strikers series alot. To me, they are good, solid, rather "traditional" style shmups, and while not entirely "bullet hell", they still manage that "manic" quality that I love in these games. The gameplay is solid, the selection of ships/weapons is quite interesting.... some unique things there...... and the boss fights are awesome/demented. Everything I love in a shmup, though it can be a bit frustrating at times.
no special reason this time
Item chaining usually ruins a game like this, but it's fast and fun at just 15 minutes a loop. Also, the other games are absolutely piss poor.
Technical Bonus!
Team
because I don't like the scoring systems for Rayforce or Thunder Dragon for a competition.
Great game and I'm pretty good at it.
I tend to vote for games I've never played
It's more or less a personal reason, really. I might as well play this game while improving on it as a personal accomplishment.
I like Psikyo. I have ten minutes left to play. The others seemed cool, and I like Rayforce, but I have had more fun with Psikyo stuff.
Thunder Dragon II
--------------
Because I am Macaw
I want to hear everyone bitch about the terrible voice.
Team vote
Best announcer ever
Process of elimination. Medal chaining is stupid and I don't want to
play Rayforce all week.
Screw Psikyo's Tech Bonuses and spinning coins.
i havent got time to try any of the games yet but thunder dragon is my choice, due to: it looks good and sounds fun..... short and simple^^
Dopiest announcer ever. "God damn you. I can still fight you!"
Simple survival/kill stuff scoring and plentiful bombs makes it fun.
Also, it being a less well-known game levels the field for those who
haven't already played the other two games.
just for something different.
its gotta be Thunder Dragon II because I really don't want to play Strikers.
I'm Ed Oscuro and I approve this vote. Also, Thunder Dragon II got me into caravans. I think. I dunno, I'm going senile.
