aand if so got any idea how to configure the options or change weapons?

I don't know what do you mean exactly by saying "change weapons", you can't play with more than 1 ship.

Hmm...I meant switching between straight shot and wide shot but I figured that out now (you gotta press an extra button while firing) but yes lack of configurability makes this a bit pants.
I'm sticking with Raiden III and XOPBlack then

I think the game is quite fun. It's one of the few pattern heavy shmups I can play. I would guess it's quite easy for 'veterans' though.
