I just got an XRGB-3 unit, but unfortunatelly since I am in Greece, all stuff is PAL50 here... so consoles like saturn/dc/snes/genesis only output this... is there a firmware upgrade so PAL can be supported too?
I have connected my SNES via VHS and it is a mess. I tried SVHS but I only get a black/white picture... I am building a JP-scart->EU-scart adapter, but I have little hope it will help much...
Do you have any suggestions for my "problem" ?
Thanks!
I don't know (tested around so much that I don't know if I tested this). The 2plus does PAL though.
The problem lies elsewhere though. If the input is PAL you some weird 50Hz VGA-like and practically no TV or monitor can display that, so even if the XRGB-3 does PAL (without a framerate conversion) your display might not be able to display it, since it'S totally out of specs.
VGA signal @50hz works fine in all CRT monitors and LCD-TV ones. I know that because I come from the amiga world, where our vga signal is 50hz...
the problem is that XRGB-3 cannot understand PAL in VHS (scrambled image, OSD looks OK in front of it!) and in SVHS the output is black&white...
