I have a friend who 1CC'd Chariot. He was a great one for figuring out things. He said something like; 'you've got to enter the last stage on your last life, otherwise the rank makes the 1CC impossible.' - Something like that :idea:
His name is Android and he also figured out how to 1CC Narc.

Edge - 2'442'100 - Stage 7 - MAME

Messed up the coins in stage 5. Therefore the rank wasn't that impossible in the last stage.

I've 1cc the platform game on this (It's called Rooters, isn't it? I don't remember), but the shmup is pretty difficulty.

Edge - 2'758'300 - Stage 7 - MAME
(Wolf MAME 0.97 Replay)

Got pretty far in the last stage this time, seems like the rank isn't too bad if you just get there on your last life. And this time I didn't mess up too bad in the earlier stages.

@Shatterhand:
The platform game is called "Midnight Wanderers", the demo sequence looked decent. But I haven't tried it out yet. All in all this game is a nice hidden gem. :)

Edge - 3'760'300 - All - MAME - (Auto Fire)

Replay (Wolf MAME 0.97)

1CCed it today. Actually I think this game isn't that difficult... ? The most difficult part is that moon boss in Stage 2, otherwise this game is quiet handable. Even on higher ranking. It seemed to me far more forgiving then the Parodius games. Entered the last stage with 2 lifes in stock, but it was still playable and never at all felt unfair.

@DEL:
Maybe your friend was playing a different version, or the settings were changed to very hard or something... ?

Firstly, Congratulations Edge!

Secondly, my friend Android told me about his Chariot 1CC having to enter the last stage on the last life a few years ago. You have proved that to be unneccessary :) .
I have very little experience of this game, but you and PlasmaBlooD have rekindled my interest :idea: .

I found out

http://www.arcade-history.com/index.php ... il&id=2883

It's called Midnight Wanderers on the World version and Roosters in the Japanese version. My 1cc of the game was on the Saturn JP version, that's why I remember it by this name :)

It's a very solid platform game, I'd found it more enjoyable than Chariot (Which is also pretty good still).
