Yeah, and Strider is overrated. LOL.

Almost everyone else agrees that Judgement Silversword is awesome.
It's called a 'matter of opinion' Ceph, I'm sure you're well versed with that turn of phrase, what with being the owner of a particularly successful forum.

As it happens on the topic of Strider being overrated, there were a vast number in the thread who shared the same view.

Which leads me to another opinion that you should shove that, and all other particularly pointless LOL's, up your ass.

Well, it is you who keeps creating these inane threads, thereby asking for opinions. Ask and ye shall receive.

So what if someone agreed with you that Strider is "overrated" (whatever that means), that really doesn't prove anything. If you asked enough people, you'd probably find someone who thinks that brains are overrated.

On topic: No, Bari Arm will not "skyrocket". Read the posts in this thread, then try to understand them.

I find it LOL that people can't take anything at face value and have a fair discussion.

I said I thought Strider was overrated. I didn't say it was shit, and it didn't constitute 'Strider bashing'.

I've played plenty of shmups in my time, and I thought Bari Arm was excellent fun. A little easy, but the big weapons, bosses and voiceovers were very unique. As such it stands out on the MCD in a big way.

Let's keep it a discussion from this point and stop behaving like little geeks with chips on their shoulders.
I was just giving you a hard time b/c strider is one of my favorite all time games

Besides we are all kinda geeks if we are posting in a thread about cool mega cd games and comparing them to other 10 + year old stuff.

Also a matter of opinion, but then some people will always think certain topics of discussion are beyond them.
If you asked enough people, you'd probably find someone who thinks that brains are overrated.
They are - there's loads of people who can't even use them!
On topic: No, Bari Arm will not "skyrocket". Read the posts in this thread, then try to understand them.
'Try' to understand them? Eeeurgh. Unnecessary.
I do understand what people have said, what you don't understand is that the 'question' was not concrete in the first place - it was a topic of discussion. Re-read the OP.

But yes, I appreciate the input, and I now realise that this game is far more unpopular than I thought. Although I did think it was amusing that someone mentioned due to the lack of support for it already shown on this thread, it's clearly too unpopular to ever increase in value - like the shmups forum actually has any sway over global market rules of demand.

Why did TTI cut the vocal narration of the original Winds of Thunder release for the USA version?

Because a picture is worth a thousand words, duh. :P
A picture's worth a thousand words and silence is golden...very wise decision of TTI to not include such narration in the USA version of Super CD-Rom2 Lords of Thunder shmup release. ^_~

Hudson Soft and Red could've done a proper sequel to Gates of Thunder but went with Winds of Thunder/Lords of Thunder instead -- taking the gameplay formula in another direction of epic fanasty inspired shmup theme. Nice change of pace and astethics compared to the first one with such hard-core sci-fi and in outer space enviroments that is GOT. ^_~

Alrighty then, back to the Sega CD shmup titles in question thread.

I've been trying to buy this off ebay recently, but I keep getting outbid. It always sells for $15-$20, but I won't pay that much for a sega cd game that I'll probably barely play.

You know....sega cd will play burned games without modding.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

Yeah, I know. However, I don't have a "source" for that kind of thing..
