Man...again!! :( A lot of people in New Orleans have said that they aren't coming back after this one, and I don't blame them!

I'm looking forward to the influx of refugees and high murder rates with bated breath.

I live in Montana so I don't think it will be a problem here.

I wonder how many people are going to sit on their rooftops in a rocking chair mocking the storm.

No, this game is not Space Invaders.

Vivid sense of imagination you got there!

Anyway I only know of Bloodreign being anywhere close to it...he's somewhere in Louisiana, but higher up in the state (I think).

So far I'm out of the way (I'm in Mississippi, about the center of the state), at least unless it turns due north and keeps it strength.

Same here, Mississippi right above the Louisiana border near McComb. But really i'm out in the middle of nowhere off a highway. Got everything secured and all my guns loaded ^.^

I decided to hold down the fort since my family left. I got too much cool stuff in here. No one's touching my HDtv and guitar.

I'm from the Cayman Islands, and living in the UK at the moment. I was emailing back home constantly over the weekend, regarding this hurricane. I hate being overseas in these times. Luckily for us it went by without any real effect. We had a lucky streak of about sixty years, before Ivan basically destroyed the country in 2004. So we don't take misses for granted as much these days!

Glad to see this topic here. I hope everyone else is as fortunate.

I'm completely prepared now. I moved everything explosive up to the shop and got everything locked up and secured.

As far as home defense goes... i'm ready for the zombie apocalypse and i'm channeling some Gordon Freeman. New Orleans people scare me!

Nope in the south part of the state, we got it alright (the eye passed over us but had filled in, good because it meant a weaker storm, bad because I couldn't see the big clearing in the storm), but it weakened enough for me to return home hours after the eye left and before curfew set in. Thankfully light damage to the homestead, a little roof damage that can be easily repaired.

It hit through here as a Category 1 instead of a 2 or 3 (it hit in marsh land, a place called Cocodrie, or Alligator in English, no one lives where it came in) and I'm damned pleased to see it didn't seriously flood and was weaker, but it's still bring tornadoes and flooding to the southern part of the states, and northern Louisiana and Mississippi.

Hopefully our Mississippi residents here got off easy as well, though there's still Hanna, Ike, and Josephine to contend with.

My area was under Tornado Warnings most of the night last night, although I didn't know it until 3:45 this morning.

Besides my leaky back door, everything else is ok.
