Please tell me what is better to use. sync or synch.
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/synched
It says on above page informal, but what is better to use? sync or synch?
Perhaps both are wrong, but synch seems to have a different pronounciation, sounds more like bench. So I prefer sync

They're both pronounce "sink."
You can use either.

The rerm "Sync" seems to be pretty standard, at least in Microsoft terminology (e.g. Ford Sync, ActiveSync, etc.) I actually work on data sync functionality right now, and I can't recall ever seeing the "synch" form of the word used anywhere here.

"Synch" is something I've seen on equipment built before the eighties, mostly. It's a cinch to figure "sync" is current usage.

Sync is just a short form of "synchronization", "synchronize", or anything else with the same root. Nothing else to it.

As far as I know, sync is US english, synch is UK english, but don't take my word for it as I'm neither US nor UK born.
