Super Mario Bros DS E3 2005 thread

Post by Dylan1CC »

Just starting this now. If you beat me to it, post any new videos and pics here assuming they appear today. :)

Good old 2D SMB gaming on the DS. Yes.

Finally, Mario quits running around with a gay squirtgun and collecting those stupid Shines, and returns to his roots. There better be Fire Flowers....

Whatever happened to those powerups? Did Miyamoto want to Mario to stop doing drugs?
Shmups: It's all about blowing stuff up!

New video from IGN, it looks great! Sure, the models are 3D but it is old school SMB 2D play at its finest, watching the video reminded me of SMB All Stars somehow. Let's hope it's nice and long too:

Not bad. It seems I'll have to pick up a DS sometime. There seems to be a chunk of 2D love on its way for it.

It already has. Being able to switch between a round of Yoshi TnG and Metroid NES in the GBA slot is a small slice of 2D heaven in itself. Now imagine having a DS loaded up with the new SMB and Gunstar Super Heroes? Whoo.

Well, this game has officially made me a future DS owner. Couple that with Castlevania, Sonic Rush, and Viewtiful Joe and I'm in love!

I just watched the new videos.

Wow! Why is it that Nintendo always has the best E3 and yet no one ever pays attention to them? The new Zelda trailer is gorgeous, Super Mario Bros. DS looks amazing, Castlevania DS is probably the best thing Konami has shown thus far, and Mario Kart DS looks awesome.

And this isn't even Nintendo's next-gen stuff.

Begs 1 question: Why the fuck did they not put this game (or something like it) on the GBA? Nice, nonetheless.

XD They were too busy "remaking" the older SMB games methinks... >_>
