Eddie Murphy Makes the Best of a DAD Situation

Post by JoshF »

Todays FX Movie will be Daddy Day Care.

THE PREMISE:
D-Day is coming.

When best friends lose their jobs, the boredom of being househusbands inspires them to start a business - a day care center for kids - despite their almost complete ignorance of how to go about it. Eddie Murphy, Steve Zahn, Regina King, Kevin Nealon. [2003] TV-PG

Charlie Hinton (played by Murphy) finds himself in a pickle, or rather...a broccoli.

Even bad films can be enjoyed when viewed through a post structuralist camp reading. Through subtle re-appropriation of key generic conventions, a film can be enjoyed by people whom the the film makers might have completely overlooked during the creative process :D :D :D

I think I may be ready for this movie now. When it first came out, I thought: this is a little too close to home for me, as a dad who often has to take care of kids not knowing the slightest about how to do so. But I've matured emotionally. I think I'll take the plunge.

I remember my mum was quite upset by that song. "It's a nice melody, but I'm not sure I see the connection between it and 'children'".

dey both feel gud

If you fill in the outline of Eddie's body in that shot there's scientifically no way it equals those shins belonging to him.

Eddie dropped the sopping mass onto the floor and stared into my face with intensity. His face darkened, and he doubled over as his brow and cheeks were dug with a series of furrows. For hours I listened as he gagged. I could hear bile burblinng in his throat, then an explosion of color filled my consciousness. "I am Swizz Goll", and then he commanded, "Bring me the ruby cane." I was helpless against his mighty power.
