Macross Frontier Region 2 DVD out in Japan 7-23-2008...
For those die-hard Macross fans out there, Bandai has finally released their first Region 2 formatted DVD of Macross F/ Macross Frontier I in Japan on July 23rd, 2008. (Okay, so this may be old news for some of you otaku.)
Play-Asia has it up for sale if you want to snag a copy for yourself to see what all the hype is about the newest Macross anime series:

It shouldn't be too long before Macross Frontier mecha model kits and toys come out. That should be something to look forward to. ^_~

Harmony Gold needs to stop dicking around and realize that they could still make $$$ by properly releasing such past Macross properities such as Macross 7, Macross Zero and Macross Frontier on DVD and Blu-Ray formats for the North American market.FIL wrote:It'll probably never get an American or European release thanks to those wonderful folks at Harmony Gold.

As if the Robotech and Macross anime properties can't co-exist peacefully side-by-side on the retailer's shelf. I'd gladly support buying such properly released USA region latter released Macross anime series if they'd do it.FIL wrote:They probably figure it would cut into Robotech sales.
It's interesting to note that Tatsunoko Productions (aka Tatsunoko Pro nowdays) was banking on their Super Dimensional Century Orguss anime series to be popular when they decided to make Super Dimensional Fortress Macross first and the rest of the story is anime history. Btw, Orguss tanked and Macross proved to be more successful than they ever hoped it to be. ^_~
