For opips2,

I like your avatar, a nod to Squaresoft's Einhander shmup. ^_~

Too bad that Square/Enix still hasn't made a prequel or a sequel to it since then. But then again, it was Squaresoft who said that there wasn't going to be a sequel to it because Einhander tells a complete story from beginning to eventual conclusion.

My recommendation is to just pick up a Japanese region PS2 or PS3 console and you'll have no worries about being able to play the JPN region of Thunderforce 6 on either console setup when it finally is released on "day one".

I think Raiden III is a very 'average' game.

Nothing really seems to 'click' for this game in the series. The ship speed seems even slower, bullets faster and neither works well together. The graphics seem even more bland this time around as well. And the mix of 3d models and textures is really cheap looking. And that's even before you run into the large numbers of fixed 'dot turrets' starting at the first space level.

I think part of the problem is the background speeds up and slows down at points in the game...but your ship and all the enemies/bullets all still move at the same pace overall. So there is a bit of a motion mistmatch all throughout the game.

I threw it in the PS3 for a quick run just to refresh my memory, and despite not playing it much when I got it or playing it much. I made it to the fourth level on just one life...before I made a bunch of really bad mistakes since I was sitting way too far away from the screen. (('bout 8 feet using the wireless controls, std 22") Even then I still managed another 3/4 level before I ran out of bombs and lives just playing really lazy.

The main issue I find with Raiden III is that the small yellow pellet enemy shots often blend in with the scrolling movie type background.

That means that--more often than not--among all of the larger pink shots, the ship tends to get hit by a small yellow shot that really couldn't be seen that well.

My biggest beef w/ Raiden III is the notable absense of the toothpaste laser (or if you call it's replacement the toothpaste laser, then consider it's capabilities severly neutered). Otherwise, it's a fun shmup.

I receviced the game. I put in the PS3 system. Fucking awesome music Raiden 3  . I have HDTV widescreen 50". I saw background plex-graphic when I lost it slowly movement Vertical screen the graphic is bad background is 2D and 3D. I love it green laser is coolest weapon than bored bullets.

I can't see fastest movement background vertical from Raiden 3.

Final R-type is beautiful 3d graphic peroid it !

I played on PS3 1942: Joint Strike is coolest shump !

I can't wait this Söldner-X: Himmelsstürmer is full game download on PSN. I feel this Dec 2008.

Play Double Mode; it plays very differently to Solo Mode. The scoring system and weapon system combine to make it a far more entertaining and unique experience. They're integrated and designed from the ground up to be played in this mode; makes going back to Solo Mode redundant...

Also, if you build Arcade sticks, this is a perfect excuse to build yourself a Double Mode stick!
