Crue Fest?
Crue Fest?
Whos going to Crue Fest? Motley Crue, Papa Roach, Trapt, Buckcherry, and Sixx:Am are playing there. I went last night to see it in Indianapolis, IN.

If they wern't, they wouldn't have a Crue Fest, thenMX7 wrote:Do Motley Crue still exist?
In the art of kenjutsu one must be like a dancer with their blade to confuse and destory their opponent in a beautiful display of gore and blood, along with a bit of sadistic laughter and a sarcastic voice that is deceptively sweet.

I'd sooner squirt vinegar into my dickhole than pay any amount of money to go see any one of those bands - much less all of them. Only the gratuitous "tit flashing" could keep the event from being an absolute waste of time and money. This is coming from a guy who plays in a band that played on a bill with Papa Roach (and the Burden Brothers - good band) down here in 2004.
So, yeah maybe I'm a little jaded. But, seriously; unless you're the type of guy who is dating a stripper who has free tickets and a hotel room and wants to bring her hot cousin along - you just have no business going to that shit.
You should consider going out and seeing some local acts - buy them a round of beers and compliment them on their set (even if they sucked). Take some video footage of them and stick it up on Youtube, even! It would make their day, and it would cost a lot less. Who knows? They may even be
the next big thing?

Were they douchebags? I get the feeling that most of the MTV bands are like, nice guys who went to college for music and got recruited by record companies. Like how people auditioned to be in the Spice Girls, they didn't just form, sort of thing. This is coming from a guy who plays in a band that played on a bill with Papa Roach (and the Burden Brothers - good band) down here in 2004.
All the ü you can handüle
Strangely, this only came to my mind when I was considering posting something along the lines of "make sure somebody packs a copy of Crüe Ball"EOJ wrote:This thread is in dire need of umlauts.
Neon:
I estimate about 10,000 rock/metal/punk bands form every year globally. About a third of that number breaks-up. Some bands try to "buy" their way into the biz. Example: Mother's Anthem; you wanna see gross? They have a crazy "French Rennaissance" look going. *whew* Adam Ant is rolling in his jail cel. They have a myspace page for themselves in every town! Google em'...but, beware le resistance! Their target audience: girls ages 12-17.
Actually, no. They were pretty good sports with our drunk asses. We gave up about 3/4 of what we got paid to get extra beer; most of which the BB's drank. But, Papa Roach spent a lot of time in the backstage patio area getting "professionally" photographed - complete w/ Tungston lights and makeup - all that jazz. Crazy rockstar shit, but I'm sure they're decent guys. A lot of energy onstage - the lead vocalist gives a lot. But, their music is just...heh. They came in with that whole rap-metal/nu-metal wave that went on for an agonizing 2 or 3 years. Thank you Clearchannel! I'll literally never forget that horrible shit; I'd dress up in flanel shirts and torn bluejeans and blast Pearl Jam on my cassette deck and change my name to Keanu before I would even lean towards any of that contrived garbage. Were they douchebags?
