Elevator Action Returns (SS)
How does it compare to the PCB? Controls well? Worth getting? Thanks!

The Saturn version's pretty pricy, but also hides the original Elevator Action in it, if you beat the sequel of course.
*kicks self for not having the cash when one was $25 without manual*

In other news, you can play the original Pitfall on your SNES if you have Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure.
I'd probably rather be playing that one. Passwords = ooh, shiny
Of course, I have had a copy of EAR for the Saturn for some time. It's a good game but feels a bit claustrophobic after Contra...not that this wasn't intentional what with the crushing elevators theme ;)!
p.s. Has anybody figured out what a "Taff" is yet? I know it's supposed to be "tough," but let's just pretend.

The Saturn version also has a millions digit on the score to deter counter stops. Someone on MARP has done that on the arcade version.
IMO, the CD music sounds somewhat better than the F3 cart tunes. I think the BGM may have been slightly downsampled to fit into the cart ROM.
I'm glad I held onto this one. Even if my Saturn bites the dust, there's still SSF. Tonight I had a fairly good go at EA2, not losing a life until the final mission (I fucked up badly and got crushed under an elevator, and instant death is a tough break when you only have 2 lives per credit)- and then burning a couple continues on my way to the end. To 1CC this is quite a challenge, thanks especially to the last part of the final mission.
It's nice having an option to use a 3rd button for bombs. This version is definitely worth what you'd pay - on eBay at the moment I see some sellers offering it for $40-70. The F3 cart is more expensive at about $120 (though the seller also offers a cart/motherboard combo for $190).
