Ah yes, drama. Beautiful drama, which attaches to me for reasons I cannot even begin to understand. Apparently, 3 years isn't enough! As people still hold grudges and are in the mindset that people aren't capable of change.

Yes, I'm now banned from Cave-STG by EOJ, for calling him icycalm on a completely unrelated forum, after politely telling him not to provoke Violent Ken. Apparently I'm also Erinu.

Because, you know, of course provoking Violent Ken is going to make him become a better forum member and make him stop shitposting everywhere.

No worries. I don't want to be unbanned. I just wanted to point out that this was a pretty pathetic display of maturity and a really poor way to handle things. Hope your quasi-shmups cove works out in the end.

Then again, this comes from a forumite who has an extremely strict sign-up process. Not that I'd be signing up for the CAVE-STG forums anyways, seeing that I use Gmail (and if I remember correctly, he's banned free e-mail providers from signing up for the forums).

Also, I play any shmup I can get my hands on, not just Cave. His forum requires that his members live and breathe Cave games before signing up. Yup. The precise reason why diversity will always outweigh purity.

I made this thread because the community should be aware that this shit doesn't fly. It gets shot down. That kind of thing wouldn't happen if this was dealt with properly. I think the funniest part about this is that I was joking about him being icycalm. Was I active back when he was banned? But you need to understand that it's his forum, so he can ban you for anything.. even if it's due to unrelated forum issues. Why would you wanna be on a forum with such a strict sign-up policy though? I know you don't live and breathe Cave. You mean like privately messaging him and trying to work it out without dragging the community into it? I don't know enough about EOJ to know how "reasonable" he'd be about it, but it's probably more reasonable than he's willing to be now that you've called him out in public.

It isn't a matter of being on the forum. I barely visited. I've been banned from there, and I will never visit it again. But it wouldn't even matter if the forum was an ezboard, the same principle applies. Unrelated forum drama should stay unrelated.

And yeah, I've been having difficulty with ignoring those VK threads. Trying to keep the peace, I offered a solution to both parties. You know, advice, that stuff that's meant to help. Seems it just made things worse.

And he dissed me by calling me Erinu. I can only assume that's an insult by all the Erinu talk in irc. And then there's little point in messaging someone who outright banned me from their forums when I 1) don't want to be unbanned and 2) don't see the ban as justified. Again, you need to understand that unrelated drama should remain in it's place, and not be carted into other forums. Seeing as how the forum is advertised/spammed here on a daily basis, it's only right to bring it up and make others aware.

Erinu stopped posting 31-May-2008. This is the day Elixir started posting again (about 12 hours after Erinu's last post) after a nearly 3 year absence. Both dudes from Australia, both write the same way. Similar names, similar avatars. It's not too hard to put it together.
