Offtopic, but Nintendo "announced" a new Zelda game immediately after the actual show.

I've seen VotF, and I think it's real. Maybe that's what this is.
apparently E3 started yesterday..?
I hope they paid that guy a good amount of money, because this video is going to haunt him for the rest his life.FrederikJurk wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oThIqw2NWK4
Jesus Christ, that was funny as hell.
He´s desperately trying to make his performance sound good, but it´s just turning out like some kid slamming the drum keys on a cheap keyboard.
hahaha looks even worse than the powerglove

ed: for those of you who havent seen it.

the destruction of everything, is the beginning of something new. your whole world is on fire, and soon, you'll be too..
Handheld gamers seem to be getting the meat of the RPG's - which is no bad thing - although I have to wonder why the DS is getting so many good RPG's and NONE have been ported to the Wii, which should be a no-brainer. Etrian Odessey II on the Wii? Dragon Warrior IV? The World Ends With You? Too easy and you get the RPG fanboy back to your console instead of playing their PS2's.
Say hi to him for me; played Geometry Wars for some seconds at my cousin's and they've really got something special for me.Lordstar wrote:LOL! Geometry Wars 2! I played that fucking months ago at my mates house. he works for Bizarre creations. its fun multi payer is great.
If a version of this comes out for PC I'll definitely be getting it (and for once I won't regret having that 360 controller 8) )
Also, recent points against the "game designers don't understand what makes good gamez" argument:
2/3 of The Orange Box (and likely the upcoming Battlefield Heroes)
Diablo 3 (most likely will be great)
Contra 4
Ninja Gaiden 2 (hoping this one isn't the last of the series revival)
Sega trying to bring back STGz
etc.
EO wouldn't work without the map drawing. WEWY wouldn't work without the top screen. And so forth. They're designed for the DS and they work with the DS. There's no reason why they should end up on the Wii when most Wii owners also have a DS.drboom wrote:Handheld gamers seem to be getting the meat of the RPG's - which is no bad thing - although I have to wonder why the DS is getting so many good RPG's and NONE have been ported to the Wii, which should be a no-brainer. Geometry Wars is out for the PC. I played it with a wired 360 controller and was terribly unimpressed by the right analog stick's lack of direction: i.e. When I hold the right stick to shoot right (90°) it always ended up being either slightly to high (about 87°) or too low (93°). Because of this huge flaw (same problem on the xbox 360 version as well) I found the game to be unplayable since it requires precise directional shooting. And it's not my controller that's the problem either since I've tried with a few different 360 controllers.Ed Oscuro wrote:Say hi to him for me; played Geometry Wars for some seconds at my cousin's and they've really got something special for me.

I know, but it's not Retro Evolved and not GW2, the versions I'm interested in.spongdangly wrote:If a version of this comes out for PC
I'm afraid going to regular GW after playing RE on Wii will feel like a step back.
Improved versions, cross-marketing (nevermind that the one working example of this I have, Perfect Dark for the GBC and everything needed to make it work, is godawful), etc.Elixir wrote:There's no reason why they should end up on the Wii when most Wii owners also have a DS.
They would need to be redone and not simply ported, of course, but it might be worth it.
Come to think of it, is Nintendo planning some sort of DS -> Wii cross compatibility or did they realize that it promotes the lazy sort of game production and usually amounts to not much at all?
