Helo Ketsui. Hello Raiden Fighters Aces. Hello Otomedius with a nifty arcade stick. You were bought with the blood of my Sega collection (a very small portion mind!), so you better be awesome.

Um... I got it for $305. Have you seen the prices of JP Xbox360s at places like NCSX and play-asia? Even if there is a $50 price drop, I still would've gotten a good deal.Elixir wrote:I think you missed my point. With E3 being announced, prices will drop worldwide. Personally, I would've waited until Ketsui is released.jp wrote:I already have a 360.
I needed a JP one though, and I snagged that one from within the states for a damn solid amount.
Hehe, well, not really. I mean, from all the stuff I've sold in the past few days since the sale started, I think this is about 1/3rd of the money I've made. :p And once all is said and done it'll be virtually nothing compared. :pthe real reason he sold his sega collection
You bought a launch-era JP X360 (no HDMI), it could have been manufactured back in 2005 (if so, no warranty for you). I don't know why anyone would buy an early model X360. The ones at P-A are new falcon models manufactured in 2008 and cost $329.jp wrote: Um... I got it for $305. Have you seen the prices of JP Xbox360s at places like NCSX and play-asia? Now, I'm just a lowly mathematician here, but $329 + $89 = $418 (oh, and tax!), almost $100 more than what I paid (after tax it would be over $100).
Thats still around $100 more than I paid...EOJ wrote:jp wrote:

You don't pay tax for items from Hong Kong if you're in the USA. And I don't know where you got that shipping quote, but 3 day UPS shipping for an X360 console is $72.40 from play-asia.com.
most games I've encountered are region free....JP, can you then confirm that US X360 games are region-free, please?
I've seen expensive ways to try to forget about the TFVI announcement, but this is probably the most expensive yet.jp wrote:Helo Ketsui. Hello Raiden Fighters Aces. Just for the record, Play-Asia sent me a launch model NTSC-J 360 with my copy of Senko no Ronde and the only times it gave me an RROD was when there was a split-second brownout or when I didn't securely plug in the power supply. It's been faithful to me otherwise.EOJ wrote: You bought a launch-era JP X360 (no HDMI), it could have been manufactured back in 2005 (if so, no warranty for you). Some of the games featured on this Vii console are taken from Pelican's "Caplet" VG Pocket handheld game system with it's built-in library of 50 games to play/choose from. The Caplet has two interesting shmup titles by the name of "Tiger Rescue" (a Sonic Wings/Aero Wings rip-off) and "Blaze of Glory" (a Capcom CPS1 U.N. Squadron rip-off).Dave_K. wrote:Oh, I thought you dumped the Wii for the Vii

Same here, I haven't had any problems with my Japanese console. Unless I'm playing Dead Rising. Fuck that game.dai jou bu wrote:Just for the record, Play-Asia sent me a launch model NTSC-J 360 with my copy of Senko no Ronde and the only times it gave me an RROD was when there was a split-second brownout or when I didn't securely plug in the power supply. Also, Otomedius will probably feel awesome because Konami did make something that utilizes a touchscreen for it. I wouldn't have cared for this game otherwise.
