I never thought I would be depressed to get a new Final Fight game. But, this looks like a typical 3D fest.

Not that I hate 3D per se, but I just don't have a good feeling about this.

Hmm, it's by the same team that made Final Fight Revenge...

Looks like I'll have to get it and support a beat-em-up series but it sure doesn't look very exciting as of yet without the health bars and all.

It doesn't look any good indeed.

You have only ONE character to play? Stupid , and this probably takes out 2 player cooperative mode.

It seems to have too many plot stuff for you to care...

Ugggh, just awful. This looks like crap. Capcom should have never published the GTA games in Japan, it's tainted them. They've taken a classic franchise and given it a shallow, edgy make-over.

No one will care about this game. The mainstream will think it's too shallow for a GTA clone, and the fans of Final Fight will just be sickened by Capcom's attempt to give the franchise street cred. It doesn't fucking need street cred. You could beat transvestites with lead pipes, that's better than anything all these GTA clones every offered us.

I would love a new Final Fight. But this isn't Final Fight. The graphics have no charm, no soul, they look live every other game. Damned photorealism. Now, if they have to, I'd support a 3D Final Fight, because a 3D beat 'em up can be done when handled properly.

Glad I have never been much of a Final Fight fan. The 3D is dull as you'd expect it to be and Kyle looks....well, lemme use some visual aids to give you an idea of the two people whatever Capcom dev designed him apparrently had in mind:

To paraphrase Triangle Service's SOS letter, I must say I do not believe Capcom has any "Fighting Love" any longer! They lost the "gamer's soul".

But, hell, starting with GTA3, the whole market lost its soul. Everyone wants "street cred" nowadays. I went to a game store a while ago and saw a guy playing a fighting game... disgusting... that piece of shit with real life rappers beating the fuck out of each other. Not only the game looked like shit, but it is the dumbest idea since Custer's Revenge.

Now, can someone imagine a game with rockers fighting?* Ooo look, Dave Murray vs. Brian May! Ian Anderson vs. Dave Mustaine! Sammy Haggar vs. Dexter Holland! Fuck no, this is retarded - yet people like it when it has rappers. What can I imply from that?

* (no, Guilty Gear doesn't count. It has a rock soundtrack, and a rock-like theme, but no real rockers fighting for no reason other than proving they're the most basdass; and there is a real, non-music**-related story)

Why all the complaining about this new Final Fight game?! It certainly looks a heullva lot more fun then the Maximo series.

We NEED more arcade-style beat-em-ups, IMO, not more Capcom vs SNK rip offs.

Maximo was developed by Capcom USA

Don't you remember hearing about Capcom Japan selling off the rights to street fighter (and I assume Final Fight)? Well, this is what we get.

I think Capcom Japan has still been putting out some quality titles (though it certainly isn't the same old capcom that reigned in the 90's). Capcom USA has always stunk though. I'm really not surprised.

I don't either; in fact I think it looks excellent. It may get rated lower just because it doesn't have 10 billion special moves and combos, but I could care less about all that.

Yeah, I've been meaning to try out Beats of Rage for ages. My Dreamcast only works some of the time, and I've never taken the time to figure out what all I need to do to burn a CD to play it on my Dreamcast.

Fuck it, I've got plenty of free time now, I'll try and figure it out.

THAT'S what I was afraid of! This 3D Final Fight is a sacrilege. I don't like the idea of the money and respect systems. It almost reminds me of the new Narc. It looks more GTAized and definitely not arcade-style. Get this complete filth out of here, Capcom.

Capcom has certainly jumped the shark. I don't really know them anymore- this isn't the same one who gave us Final Fight, Aliens Vs. Predator, 19XX series, ProGear, Mars Matrix, Street Fighter II & III, etc. Capcom Fighting Jam? Rubbish. Is that the best they can do with 2D lately? It seems like their best product will be the Capcom Classics Collection and maybe the PS2 DarkStalkers.

And apparently FF Streetwise is what becomes of it. As for Street Fighter, I've got a bad feeling we're in for Street Fighter EX 4- and it'll be even worse.
