That's pretty cool. Was kinda hoping to see something that looked really new though. It's sorta just the Citadel and one of those weird things. I really liked those fake environment screen captures that came out awhile back. I use them as my desktop.
This does tell me that it's not likely you control the chick from Portal though, which would have been out of place anyway. I do hope you get the portal gun though, that would be cool, especially when used in conjunction with the gravity gun.
I'm way hype about Ep3. Think i'll play a little Orange Box on my new HDtv ^.^
After the drudgery of Ep.2 I don't hold out much hope for the next installment. It's blatantly just going to be a bunch of repetitive ice caves, the interior of a rusty old ship, and an underground citadel followed by a cliffhanger that won't be resolved until Half-Life 3 four years from now.

lol..sad thing is- I LOVE half life- but I kinda agree with some of this. I HATED being stuck in a cave hunting worms- that is BS. I also thought that they were splitting this into episodes to make the wait not so long. Doesn't feel like that is the case right now.
I LOVED Episode 2, I thought the pacing was just right. Oh well, everyone's different.
I know Episode 3 will be amazing. We already know the portal gun will be featured. Gordon and Alyx will go to the Borealis, which is aperture science related, and they said that Portal was a sort of test for featuring the Portal gun in future Half-Life games. I can't wait!
"I think Ikaruga is pretty tough. It is like a modern version of Galaga that some Japanese company made."
i would be suprised if the portal gun featured right away. I mean the portal chick still has a story to tell in my opinion. I kinda hope they dont introduce the portal gun right away and have more portal levels

Uh, didn't she die when GladOS blew up?
is Half Life 2 Episode 1 not Half Life 2? I've not kept up with this, but it is one of those bastard games (to me) that I've played, since I don't really like FPS. Just some nostalgia of playing teh warez version of the first one when I was poor in 1998.

I don't think Portal actually happened in the same reality of HL2. It's too parody-ish. I mean, an anti-ice product that also happens to be an arguably alive operating system? That just doesn't fit HL's tone, which is mostly serious and realistic. It would be a bit like using the funniest joke in the world as a weapon in Wolfenstein.

Pretty much lol
I played TF2 a bunch today, though, not sure what I think of the items and whatnot, but it's fun.

No one actually walks over and declares her dead. She just kinda is unconcious from my opinion. you know that whole black out stuff gordon does. . . its kinda how the HL universe go about ending a chapter.
