yeah, it kind of gets to me too, like someone will post WTB Ibara or some such, and when you pm them they will say like like "oh, i only want to pay $50 shipped" (which is not a serious offer) It is even worse when they ask for a picture, and then dont get back to you  after you have just had the hassle of getting the ol' camera out to take a pic

Nothing wrong with a WTB as long as it's realistic. I put up one for Time Gal and got it within 24 hours, and then had a nice chat about laserdiscs.

Lovely.

i think it's the fact that the boards are drying up that is leading to this more than anything.. people are getting desperate..(i even offered someone £150 for garegga which is much too high and still got denied)the expensive new cave games/kits seem to be in high supply while the old cheaper favourites have all dissapeared into collections of these new players who want every game when they haven't even finished one of them..or risen in price to truly unnacceptable levels.. i think the prices will drop tho once all the "collectors" move on to the next thing.. look what happened to neo-geo prices.. i hope all you gripping bastids who just wholesale collect what someone tells you to get lose your "investment"
it just greed..

I really thing members posting WTB should at least do a little research on the market of the games they are after.

Recently I response to a WTB request for two games completed with spine card in NM condition. (He specificly asked for complete copies with spine.)

The lowest BIN price at eBay for these games are $30 & $45. So I offer $82 shipped for both.

I target final price would be around $75 shipped. And I was prepared to accept counter offer of as low as $67 if he asked for it really politely.

But I got response saying "No thanks, I am expacting less than $50 for both."

?!?! What is him talking about? The games he is after is quite common on eBay, he should have at least do a simple search and a rough idea of what's the current market prices.

Although I do think members could expact to get a better deal here then at eBay, but I don't think one should expact a >20% off...

Be reasonable. If you are really expacting big discount like this, please states that in your request.
