Hori pro arcade 3 on MAME

Post by neorichieb1971 »

I did a search on google about mame controllers and read somewhere this works. That a Hori arcade pro 3 joystick works on MAME with no mods.

So if this is true, i'm guessing its USB. And if that works why doesn't my PS3 pad?

Can someone test a Hori arcade pro 3 on MAME please. I would feel much happier about buying it knowing it works 100%.

Thanks guys.

Richie.

It works just fine...no worries. A Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 is the way to go and replace the generic Hori push buttons with either Sanwa or Seimitsu push buttons for a world-class Japanese arcade spec joystick setup barnone. The push buttons use quick-disconnects for easy swapping of stock buttons for arcade spec buttons. The end result? You now have a PS3 joystick to play with both the PS3 console and with Mame/Mame32 setup. ^_~

Yeah, it works. You need to change a parameter in the config file though, or it won't detect joysticks/pads at all.

Is it in the controller tab?

Was wondering about that. There is a standard option and 3 or 4 more others.
