Happy independence day Venezuela !
May you rule the world one day !!
Go Chavez, You're the man of this age !!

If I'm not mistaking all the oil countries in the middle east are full of poor people and a very few ultra rich sheiks.
Also they are not as socially engaged as Mister Chavez is.
Mind you, in the middle east they don't hold human rights very high indeed.

Go Chavez !! Kick Bush some more before he leaves office please !!

denying the holocaust and shit,
That's somewhat fashionable. He's definitely not the first to say that. The "no gays in Iran" comment was fucking hysterical.

That's a pretty good summary of Chavez, right there.

We should celebrate Colombia's independence day (July 20) instead, and hope that they soon rid themselves of the Chavez-backed FARC nightmare.

I'd be all right with Chavez if he wouldn't continue the "our poor are too stupid for pure socialism" bullshit that always lurks behind dictatorial communism. I applaud his resistance to our own re-elected dictator, because OUR poor were too stupid to vote him out. Perhaps they've learned something by now. One hopes.

Yes I am critical quite a bit.
But to be honest I haven't yet heard anything worthwhile to ditch Chavez.
I only hear the upper classes of Venezuela whining which is something I can clearly live with.
As long as the lower classes profit from the countries wealth as they are doing since Chavez is there he will get all my support.
Also I sorta like his radical stands on a lot of things like his comments against the pope and lots of other things people might call him stupid for.
Even with remarks that look a bit ridiculous to most you can get people to think a bit more on the subject and put remarks in its proper perspective.

If Bush was president of Iran or some poor South American country, we'd probably be considering sanctions against his ass for his horrible record on human rights, warmongering, and complete corruption.

Chavez only fulfills two of the above: He doesn't care for human rights and he's corrupt.

Oh yeah and I have the complete freedom to say the above until I piss off Bush's spying cronies and get taken away to be water boarded in some secret prison.

He's actually only slightly below average on world leaders (for starters, he repaired the economy), but he's really only hated because "FUCK USA! FUCK USA! FUCK U S A!" and not what he actually does. Not to mention his critics in Venezuela aren't exactly angels, either.

He's pretty bad, but not anywhere near as bad as Robert Mugabe

Simply redistributing oil revenues does not count as "repairing" the economy—it barely even counts as an economy.

It was an important step to take which led to the chance of education for the lower classes which is something that does repair the economy if the rest of the world doesn't boycott them cause of their rightfully anti USA stand.

In fact, the rest of the worlds pro USA stand is far more worrying if you ask me as the USA has turned clearly into an aggressor.

Chavez-backed FARC
lol. That allegation was Uribe's way of piquing the US's interest in supporting the Colombian governments decades- old crackdown on organized labor. Like they ever needed a cue.

Ahhhhh, the freedom to speak ones mind is a wonderful thing, doncha think!?
lol. I'm guessing you're referring to the Globovision joke. They were simply warned for violating the constitution and conspiring to assassinate a democratically elected leader and install one of their oil buddies (who now, as if by magnetism, resides in Miami with the rest of the chivatos.) A mere slap on the wrist compared to what any Leader of the Free World would do under the same circumstances. The paradigm has shifted you know?

As for freedom of speech, even Maher or Olberman haven't called Bush the devil incarnate or suppose sexual fetishes on air like the media of the oil oligarchy have done with Chavez. So I think they're freedom of speech is pretty well secured, maybe moreso than ours ( :o ), as people have the freedom to say things that would only be allowed on a cardboard sign or a flyer here due to our corporate filter for wide audiences (for some reason, and I can't for the life of me figure out why, the multinationals give their megaphone to the people who support them.) Also, there are many state-independent, community-run media resources available such as CatiaTV and Radio Negro Primero, and you still have those representaives of the power elite allowed to blow their smoke, but I'm guessing your steady diet of Limbaugh and Hannity (or any other less-insane corporate shill) didn't give you those nutrients

I'd be all right with Chavez if he wouldn't continue the "our poor are too stupid for pure socialism" bullshit that always lurks behind dictatorial communism.
What? His "Socialism for the 21st Century" is about as far from authoritarian communism as you can get. In fact most communists see him as a revisionist but I'm sure you actually talk with communists on a daily basis.

FARC is not organized labor, it is organized crime. You're the one who needs to get a clue!

Your willingness to insult people who you arent even positive disagree with you is very impressive & heart warming to be sure. Viva the exchange of ideas, right!?

I personally dont listen to any of your favored enemies of the state, nor that Savage doof, Ingram whoor, Colmes moron or the very unfunny Garofalo.

Frankly, Im too busy working, paying my bills & my taxes which are too high, taking care of my family by trying to keep us fed, clothed & housed & trying to save money for retirement which will be eaten by inflation by the time Im ready for it.

I stay away from the news as much as humanly possible because everyone has an agenda, Congress is useless, the present Prez & the potential Prez hopefuls all suck, the war is a mistake that we cant just abandoned, pedophiles are getting a slap on the wrist & being released, gas is too high & Im struggling to hang on to my clients as the economy continues to falter.

If you think the average, real world person, me in particular, who are trying to just survive cares what Hugo or You or any radio jackass has to say, then you sir need to put down that blunt. :P

If you the think the average, real world person has anything in common with your racist trolling self than you sir are sadly mistaken.

Gas is where it should be. America has become so dependent on cheap gas, it's become an addiction that we have to break. Besides it's still not as high as Europe so it's pretty much still a bargain.

Now from my POV as an average real world person, things are pretty good right now. Things are evening out. Poor people in America will start to look and act like poor people in Europe. Job opportunities are still unusually plentiful for those willing to work hard. I don't things could get much better.

Lets not forget that YOU started the racist crap with your rant on whitey. Then when I called you on it, as most racist will do, you tried to shut me down by accusing me of being a Racist as loud & plaintively as possible.
I told you then n00b, I dont have time or the inclination to pursue your idiotic kiddie games.
Just as youve called me Troll when its YOU who are Flaming me. And you cant just disagree, you have to get personal & insulting. You cant have an adult conversation & express an idea without insulting like a 10 year old. :?

As to your POV, I couldnt give a rats ass. :P

Basically because out of everything I explained about myself to Josh, you pick Gas Prices & Americas Dependence on oil as your Flaming point.
I spoke of & about myself only & you have to Flame me with a childish insult.
My comment to Josh was a response to a comment from Josh to me. It had nothing to do with you & you could have just let us be. But no, youre looking for a fight & Im available.

Well again, the floor is yours. You can show off for everyone & talk all the shit you want because Im not playing.

EDIT: BTW, if you have a problem with me you might try PMing me unless the whole purpose is to be seen by everyone on the forum.
Youll never do it cuz its not your style. You want to be noticed dont you? :P

First and not that last racist post that you did in one thread. You've called people a troll for merely disagreeing with you or called others racist just to distract people's attention from your own racism. It's time you held yourself to the same rules eh common man?
