Is there a reason da new Alone in the Dark is so cheap

Post by Ed Oscuro »

Aside from its sucking, that is, and possibly moral outrage at Atari's lovable legal bluster directed at fansites. It seems that the latest Alone in the Dark (PC version) is going very cheaply on eBay though.

Import copies maybe (like that Orange Box from India I got whose CD key Valve killed off recently)? Hey, as long as it's the right region, it's worth a shot right?

Pre-empting the question "why do you care," I kinda want to try out this game's physics stuff. It sounds like the second coming of Trespasser in a less obnoxious package.

It's probably because it's short and intended as a hub for further direct download episodes at a "reasonable" price. (10-25$ each)
Trek trough the Galaxy on silver wings and play football online.

I thought it was retailing like $30 still...weird.

I also thought the PS3 version was getting "exclusive episodic content" - does that mean the PS3 is just gonna get a rushed-out version of all the episodes at full price at once, or what?

Most probably, but the game was great though, except for the abrupt ending lol and some of not so good points (bad color of blacks, annoying driving sequences, bad low fequency sounds etc...)
