I still want sliding, but it might be good to ditch the charge shot for once and emphasize the copied powers more.
Anyway, I might as well pimp Xpadder again. JoyToKey gets the job done, but Xpadder looks sexier in underwear.
I like 8-bit graphics as much as any child of the eighties, but MM7 already looked nice. This seems like the kind of project that was more fun to make than to play.szycag wrote:http://www.indiegames.com/blog/2008/06/ ... 7fc_m.html
An 8-bit Rockman 7 retrofit. It's pumping me up for 9.
You'll probably want to get Joy2key to play it properly.
thanks Bloodreign for showing it to me.

The music is so awesome. It appears Mega Man doesn't have his charge blaster in this game?crithit5000 wrote:First footage.

I thought it was worth reviving this thread to show off the awesome box art (Soon to be available in T-Shirt Form) for Mega Man 9

Yeah. If they went all the way to create a backflash box art, they should make a cartridge to put into an actual box.
However, I wonder if the game is actual NES code. I somehow doubt it. But if that was a disc release and not a download title, putting it into original NES cardboard boxes would be a nice gimmick.

That seems to be the big speculation now. Everything I've read says it's a Wiiware title, which means it's probably just programmed to look/feel like an NES game, rather than a downloadable rom. That's unfortunately, in a way, because Capcom could do an incredible fan-service to long time MM fans like myself by doing a limited cartridge release (heck, I'd even be in for a pre-order so they don't overdo the production run) for those of us who want the authentic experience. I'd pay twice the asking price of $10 (on the Wii) for a boxed NES card w/ manual & everything.FrederikJurk wrote:Yeah. I'm trying to figure out how I should feel about this...FrederikJurk wrote:http://kotaku.com/5033038/mega-man-9-to ... e-nes-bugs
They are just so cheeky, eh?
I hope the glitches include stuff similar to the ones in Mega Man 3 NES. Those are fun to play around with.FrederikJurk wrote:http://kotaku.com/5033038/mega-man-9-to ... e-nes-bugs

Well, it says that sprite flickering and such is optional, meaning you can simply turn it off if you don´t like it. At first I thought that this retro thing is getting out of hand on this title, but now I think that if they go the extra mile to create a complete mock-retro title they might as well put flicker in as a bonus

Good interview, thanks for the link.Bal-Sagoth wrote:http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/3 ... onobu_.php
Which pretty much puts a nail in the coffin of any idea that it might be an actual NES title emulated. Most likely it's Wiiware all the way. That sucks.FrederikJurk wrote:Well, it says that sprite flickering and such is optional, meaning you can simply turn it off if you don´t like it.
