Hopefully, not a port or remake (but probably one of those knowing square.)

This is a port/remake I really wouldn't mind though. Chrono Trigger is lightyears beyond anything Square has ever done since or even before it, for me at least. I felt something surging through me hearing that clock tick again. Very excited about whatever this might entail.

Einhander was awesome so was Parasite Eve, Final Fantasy Tactics, and others. The SNES/PSX were like a golden era for them. They had variety and quality stuff compared to how they're milking their franchises now.

I must've played CT a million times... now they want to lure me into playing another million times... :?

At least for me, it is exactly this kind of game that works on the DS. It is hard not to purchase even if you have already played CT.

It's by far their best RPG. I am not an RPG player, I usually hate most of them, but Chrono Trigger is one of the 3 RPGs that actually were so good to me that I played it 'til the end (And then even a little bit more in the case of CT). The other 2 were Shining Force and Chrono Cross :D

I'm the same way, except aside from Chrono Trigger the only RPGs I finished were the two KOTOR games.

If they end up altering anything about the Trigger besides updating graphics, maybe music quality, or adding side-quests or something, I will be pretty pissed.

Just imagine Chrono Trigger in slot 2 and Final Fantasy VI in slot 1...

Godlike-unbeatable tier.

I will get this. Though it looks to be an entirely new game... Chrono Trigger 3, anyone?

Seems like an "updated" port. The updates being an extra dungeon, wireless multiplayer, and touch screen support. I can't wait to start molesting the female characters .

I wonder if this will receive a PAL release, being a DS title and all.

Anyone interested in the game living there has probably already obtained a means of playing it, though.

I'm happy that it's an updated port and not a remake. I'm not sure how ti would look on the DS in 3D, but it certainly wouldn't be good.

Probably wouldn't look too much different from Dragonball Z Budokai.

They just confirmed that the game will be 2D, will feature an additional dungeon and online play (somehow...), and the Akira Toriyama will be consulted during production.

Hells YES

So help me God if they f this up...Seriously, this game sums up such a good point in my life growing up. They can take all the time in the world, as long as they don't mess it up.

Man, people really seemed to love this so I´m happy that this gets ported. The only other RPG I really played through and enjoyed was Secret Of Mana, which seems to be one a genre favourite too, so I´ll make sure to check this one out :)
