Arika wanted to port TGM1 to the PS1 (the ZN-2 is virtually identical hardware), but never got a green light from TTC, they actually ported TAP to the PS2 (they have a finished version in-house) but right when they were about to release it TTC stepped in and told them they couldn't. ACE was a bit of a rush job on request from Microsoft as they wanted a launch title for the X360 in Japan, and due to the modifications to conform to the Tetris Guideline™ it ended up extremely shitty. As for why you can only find TGM in Japanese arcades, you guessed it: that's TTC denying them a global arcade licence.

I'm pretty bad by my standards of measure, as you can see from the 300-lines marathon and line clear scores. The endless score I sadly had to suicide, cause I'd been playing for quite a while and I had an appointment I was already running late for

. I should max out the score counter when I'm sufficiently bored one day, from what I heard it takes freaking ages (and you need to suicide right at the exact moment you hit the max score mark or else the score won't save). But hey, Utada Hikaru did it so I have to do it too
