A question to people in Japan...
A question to people in Japan...
My Mom has a friend that is Japanese, and she is going back to Japan soon, and asked if I wanted anything. So my question is, what are some japanese games that are usually expensive on Ebay, but are cheap as hell in used game stores at Japan? Is Radiant Silvergun or Ibara cheap there?

It depends on what particular game titles you're looking for...obviously, if in brand new condition and with factory box will fetch a higher yen price tag if you're willing to bite the bullet and pay up (this holds true for the older and more obscure/rare video game titles).
Sometimes, it's akin to going on a treasure hunt -- you never know what might turn up around the next corner.
My advice: Find it and buy it pronto as you might not see it again the next time around. ^_~

Re: A question to people in Japan...
I swear we just had this topic...either here or at Digital Press...gave my thoughts already. Mainly what PC-E Fan X says, and this: If you don't know what's rare already, it's a little late to start studying now. Don't buy a bunch of stuff for high prices, stay away from the chain stores if you can (Trader etc. - no deals there), stay away from games in popular series you don't care about (for me this would be anything Final Fantasy or Gundam related), etc.
My guess is you'll end up paying too much and then get everything beat to hell in your luggage on your way back...

In most places in Japan, but especially Akihabara, game prices have blown up massively in the last five years. You will not find an RSG, or especially Border Down, cheap in Akihabara - you have more chance of finding one cheaper here on shmups.
If you go outside of Tokyo to Fuji etc, you have more chance of bagging a bargain - just don't expect too much anymore.

Not only that, if she's not into games, you're asking her an awful lot to go buy an old game. They take time to look for. There's no guarantee they're ever in a store, and if it's older than the PS2, it's likely limited to a very few parts of Toko.
