Nintendo is so hard core, veins in their teeth; they even stole Tetris from the KGB!

Nintendo made a great move (for their business) marketing the Wii to the casual market and whatnot, but they make so many mistakes it's crazy. Barely any storage space? Hardly any focus on online play? Crappy third-party support?
...Massive user base? Console profit day one? Widened commercial demographic? Control of the entire Japanese region in both console and handheld sales? World market leaders in gaming? Tipping Sony from the pedestal? Bags and bags and bags of cash for future growth and investment?

Fools.

And that's exactly why there's no way for them but down. Inferior hardware with nothing to play leaves a bad taste in consumers, and their milking of Mario, Zelda and Pokémon is reaching it's limit.

I dunno, it worked pretty well for Capcom...

I really don't think that's going to be their biggest issue. Unlike other production houses, There's is still a relatively large gap between major mascot game releases (Although I do agree that Nintendo squeezed Mario out like an old rag), so there is some excitement when they come out. I do agree that they should play around more with other IPs though.

Is it just me, or is EVERY non-16 bit generation is Nintendo's last in the eyes of gamers?

I have no worries about Nintendo. Their business acumen is solid, they will always find a way to progress in the market and progress the market itself.

Don't think for a second that the 'underpowered' Wii wasn't a decision that was carefully thought out. They have the money to invest in any new technology, its just the choice between selling for losses or selling for profit. They always choose the latter, but wouldn't if it meant they would sink in the market.

The Gamecube, though late, was easily more powerful than the PS2 and most probably Dreamcast too.

I'll never forget the first time I played Resi 4, I had to pick my jaw up.

And this time we get...Umbrella Chronicles. Yay.

Guess we'll have to wait another ten or twenty years to see that one "done right"

Lol, that's true mate. Looking forward to the impending 360 Resi 5 though - do we have a confirmed release date on that yet?
