External HDDs, Satellite Receivers & Nekkid Chicks!

Post by doodude »

Ive got a standard Dish network DVR, satellite receiver thats a couple of years old that I use in my office.
Unlike the newer dual HDD model in the front of the house that has HD capabilities & the ability to connect an extra external hard drive this one only has a 30 hr built in HDD.

Any suggestions as to how to connect an external HDD so I can get more than 30 hours of space to save programs?

Oh yeah, I like my chicks nekkid whenever possible...

You might want to head on down to your local bookstore and browse down the computer programming section...there are a couple of books that show step-by-step instructions on how to hack your personal DVR setbox setup. You might learn something new by checking them out... ^_~

Once I was in a greeting card store and spyed a crazy greeting card that touted the phrase: Naked Chicks inside!

Upon opening that card...there is a picture of a bunch of little feathery chicks gathered around for a pose. The catch phrase read: What were you expecting?

Quite a hilarious card and true to it's word if taken literally... ^_~

PlayTV is coming out for PS3 in Europe in the next 2 months. Although not announced for the USA yet, when its eventually released it might be compatible with your service. As you know you can add any FAT32 HDD to your PS3 or change the internal one.

The UK service is terrestrial only though, although we get 100 channels on it.

Sony might even start their own service in the USA to support the product, as unfortunately the USA has no standards. Hence why people can sell you proprietary boxes with set limits. Thats one reason I don't like USA TV, too many Tivo/Satellite and cable products and none of them work as well as British TV which is free and conforms to one standard.

Well thats the lesson of the day.
