Some Thugs tried breaking into my house last night
At around 1.30am 3 knife wielding thugs tried breaking into my house to get the keys for our Mondeo ST, They also tried the house down the road. Luckily we got em on cctv. They just took the panel off the lock and did no real damage, pretty shit burglars considering it took them 40 mins.
Funnily enough Im always awake at that time 100% guranteed, but I wasnt in. Sods law eh??
anyone else had break ins lately???
edit: tried again last night, wonder if they will strike a 3rd time

Crime can happen anytime, anywhere...so it's best to be aware and alert for the possibility that shit can and will happen. Always be on your guard as you never know, today could very well be your last one... ^_~

I keep having crackheads break into my car. After a while, I stopped even bothering to keep a stereo or anything in it. It isn't a bad car, but if it is going to be a target for losers (because it is old), let 'em take a longing look at the whole where the stereo used to be, realize there is nothing else in the car worth taking and move on.

Eugenics: you know it's right!
Funny enough, I had a dream last night of getting into my brother's car, which was left open with the windows down, an ipod, expensive car stereo and speakers exposed. He said that if it looked like an easy job, no one would actually bother to steal his stuff.
Hope you get the suckers. Unfortunately, they won't do more than a few weeks in the slammer, if at all.

Call the police. If you don't they'll probably think you're a pussy and strike again. You'll do some good to the community too.
I remember a year ago when there was an armed hold up at my dad's business (my mom got a knife cut in her arm
.) The scums got caught afterwards and things calmed down considerably. Then, another robbery happened close to my dad's business a couple months later and one of the thieves got shot to death. Needless to say, things are much better now.

Here's my anectodote: This is actualy a pretty funny story.
I had my place broken into about three years ago and the guy took a bunch of DVD's and CD's, but got scared off when a friend came by to drop some stuff off for my roommate.
She called me and told me what was up, I get home and make a list of what's missing. At the time, I lived in Wicker Park in Chicago, a pretty busy part of the city with a bunch of used CD/DVD sellers, so I called them up. Turns out, the guy took my stuff to a record store down the street and sold a bunch of it.
Here's the funny part.
In order to sell stuff there, you need to give them ID, which they photocopy and keep on record. So when I called them, they said, yeah, a guy came by and sold that stuff and we've got his ID and everything. The dummy even used his real ID!
By the time the cops got to my place, I had a copy of the guys ID and most of my stuff back. All they had to do was drive to the address on the ID and get him.
He admitted to doing about six or seven other places in the neighborhood and is now serving 4 years.
Hopefully, DBH87, they'll get the guy. If not, tool up and go hunting.

A few years ago I was living in a neighborhood of St. Louis called "Soulard". It's an old neighborhood but kind of a "trendy" place to live which means nice rehabbed houses surrounded by shit ghetto neighborhoods on all sides. One night while my roommates were out of town I heard a commotion of sorts outside the door around 1:30- 2 am. I simply passed it off as some of my neighbors coming home from bars until I heard a pop and a girl screaming. I look out the window and a kid is lying literally at my doorstep in a pool of blood.
Turns out some hard ass pulled a gun on a couple of my neighbor's friends. When they refused to give up their money, the dude pistol whipped the girl. Her boyfriend stepped into the ordeal and got shot in the chest. I called the police but never got a glimpse of the dude that pulled the trigger.
Apparently the guy the police picked up a few weeks later had been responsible for that shooting and two others outside of a bar three blocks up from my house that I've often walked to and from alone at all hours of the night.
Kind of crazed because I would jog through that neighborhood, usually later in the evening as well. I'm used to seeing the occasional crackhead scuffle and bar closing tough guy showdown, but I wasn't quite as comfortable knowing some kid was shot on my doorstep. I've since moved back to the suburbs where the wildest shit that happens is some high schoolers doing a burnout in a grumpy old lady's driveway.

I read that story and was greatly disappointed there were no big ninja fights or big tittied heroine that needed saving. Thus I have to give him a D-.elfhentaifan wrote:thanks, will keep that in mindjonny5 wrote: word to the wise.....dont break into a kickboxers house

I hate to be a downer, but going out for some vigilate justice fuck yeah will probably cause more trouble than its worth. Generally it's not a good idea to go looking for trouble with someone you know carries a knife. And even if you don't get hurt in the process, they could probably go after you for assault/battery. You and/or your brothers probably aren't going to get much sympathy after ganging up on some high school kids.DBH87 wrote:I always am, I just wasnt in that night. Calling the police might not satisfy your urage to avenge your lock as well, but in all honesty will probably work out much better.

I wish some thugs would break into my room so I could go all karate ninja viking samurai on their asses!!!!

I don't know what's sadder, a crackhead with his knife trying to burglarize honest people or steroidheads getting their daily dose of ego adrenaline with their overly exaggerated heroic stories of ninja awesomeness with the drive of a 13 y/o.
Alas, Ikaruga is going...
Undesired, unwanted them...
What makes them go?

i would have rigged a live shell to a device...ie.) a shotgun....lolz
and i dont know if i appreciate being equated with a 'steroidhead'
im 6ft 1in and like 170lbs...im by no means a big guy....but with my muay thai i am a force to be reckoned with....lolz
and also i would have been quite content to smack the guy around a bit and call the cops but he was dumb enough to pull a knife on me....i dont appreciate that kind of thing....especially when you have just broken into my home
he broke into my home and threatened my life and the life of my g/f...who was also home, by pulling the knife
i could have just as easily killed him but i didnt....
i am fully within my rights to protect my property and family
would you have found it more acceptable if i had just shot him?
also i dont exagerate....nor do i go looking for fights....but i do defend myself....and i am very protective of my belongings and even more so of my g/f
and this was no high school kid...he probably had at least 50-100 lbs on me and was in his 30's....and he had a knife
I would do the same, its your right to protect yourself. If they are in your home then you deserve to crack their heads in, its only fairjonny5 wrote:niceDBH87 wrote:they tried again last night. I live in Detroit. Break-ins are a way of life here, but now that I am married..I have armed myself with a chinese made AK-47 and Mossberg shotgun. Should another break-in occur while me and my wife are at home...they're dead or at the very least, hurt severely. I will accept whatever form of punishment the law enforces on me...but I'm tired of home invasions and theft of my hard earned home and property.
I am fighting back.
