just seen holland pound france 4-1

i would still put my money on portugal, despite being horrendous bottlers. what are your guys thoughts so far?

it's a shame england or norway aren't in it, but i'm loving the football thus far :D

Woohoo, Orange did very well tonight again! :D

After beating the current world cup holder and the vice holder of the cup, both convincingly, we're bound to reach the final.

before the tournament I gave orange no chance in hell, as they played horribly up till now. Now however I have regained some faith in our squad as for once they do seem to play like a team instead of 11 individuals.

We're 1/4 final already and head of the group. Already beyond my wildest dreams so we might as well reach the finals.

Portugal was convincing against Turkey, but less so against Chechya.
Only other team I thought was remarkably well was Spain (and Croatia to a lesser extend).

Whatever happens, there have been some great games already this tournament.

And for the record I wish for Romania to advance as the second team of the group of death.

We butchered Italy and tonight France. U.N.B.E.L.I.E.V.A.B.L.E.
Who would've known.
Everybody should at least check out the highlights of both.
Netherlands - Italy and Netherlands - France.
Amazing, with a little luck and the best goalkeeper in the world and a bunch of fantastic players and a good coach, omfg. Unreal, for such a tiny country we certainly seemed to have opened a few cans of whoopazz. 8)

I'm really enjoying this tourney so far. Of course it's already totally awesome that England isn't in it, but there's also been some really great games so far. Holland's performance has been absolutely superb, but France was very strong as well tonight, dominating large parts of the game. If they continue like this they will certainly beat Italy, who apparently just sort of imploded.

Turkey-Switzerland was a great game as well. Germany is really overrated, I actually predicted that they would flunk against Croatia. Now they will have to face Portugal—no chance.

I think we might see a Portugal/Netherlands final, which would be a nice rematch of their crazy WC06 match.

The Dutch vs the Romanians is going to be awesome.

D, you guys can put either of France or Italy out by losing that game. Given that you might meet the second placed group C again, I'd rather get the Romanians than the either of them.

Watching Holland dismantle France was interesting. I've always been a fan of the Orange although I used to be a fan of France too, until last World Cup when Henry disapeared.

It's nice Osterreich is still alive, but I don't know for how much longer since we're up against Deutschland, who are probably eager to bounce back from the loss to Croatia.

All in all a decent Euro tournament so far. I wonder how many will rest for Holland on Sunday for Romania?

Germany will bounch back - they always do. Portugal will be their own worst enemy - as usual. This tournament will change when we get to the quarterfinals. If Italy or France gets through they will show their true colors there...and it will be boring. A usual.

Did the math just now and concluded the final gonna be between Croatia and Neterlands. Wow I'm surprised, hope Spain ruin this by beating them Duch though.

Haha France was so snotty to Italians after Italy's defeat... now I really want to see what they think about their 4:1 (if possible it sounds even worse).

Hehe.
Italy-France will be hip!
Alas, Ikaruga is going...

Undesired, unwanted them...

It was a very humorous game indeed.
2-1, wait a few secs, 3-1
That made me laugh out loud. :)

I missed Holland's 3rd goal because we were all still talking about France's goal :o I'm not really a football fan, but that was an awesome game.

It's (I had to look it up) Norm MacDonald
This is an actor that did alot of Saturday Night Live and some movies.
I'm not a fan of the actor, but he's an awesome Burt Reynolds impersonator. the avatar is from a snl segment called celebrity jeopardy with Will Ferrel and others. Here's one episode http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_q9gpiB-r4 , but there are more celebrity jeopardy episodes with Norm MacDonald doing Burt Reynolds.
Will Ferrel is so great, playing the 'picked on' host.

That hilarious!

So nobody is taking the bait on my earlier Euro Football comment, huh!?

I enjoy watching these games; I just like "soccer" better then football over here, and I love the international flavor of the matches! If I had a PS3 or 360, I'd get the game and compete online! :D

QFT!

Pro Evo pwnz Uefa/Fifa games and since they got the licenses too now there´s no reason not to go that way.

*still has fond memories of Konami Soccer on MSX and the awesome Kick Off 2 on Amiga*

What about the Fifa series? Pro Evo on the Wii is actually supposed to be really awesome, because you can point to a player that you want to pass to, and then shoot the ball at him. It looks really cool.

Turkey have played beyond themselves to win that game. Awesome stuff.

It almost makes up for England not being in it.
