Public apology

Post by professor ganson »

I want to apologize publicly to Skykid for my part in our skirmish over the past few days. I'm sure Skykid is a good guy; I just overreacted when I saw him as making trouble for my friend Alien Soldier in Alien Soldier's sale thread. In spite of what my comments elsewhere may have suggested, I have nothing against Brits. One of my best friends in the world is from northern England! I do think jpj is an obnoxious guy, but I'm sure he himself will admit that. Others tell me that he brings expert knowledge to the forum, and if that's right, I'm happy to put up with his obnoxious side.

The remarks about misogyny were not to be taken so seriously. I'm actually impressed that Skykid would care about having such a label. A true misogynist wouldn't likely care.

Anyway, if anyone is still pissed at me about something, send me a pm, and we'll talk about it. I don't hang out here so much these days. If I do leave, I don't want to go out on bad terms.

Heck, all of us are not married to each other. I'm sure those offended can forgive somebody who writes such a nice appology. I do not wish to see you go, so just pop in whenever you have the chance.
Where do you hang about then?
I saw that thread and Aliensoldier was being harassed after all.

i was only trying to stick up for someone who i think is a good guy. i don't dislike you because i don't really know anything about you. my remark was pretty harsh too, so i apologise

The fact is, Skykid was exactly right in what he said in his opening post of his Lol thread. I have no response except: sorry about that.

Sorry to potentially open old wounds, but you are aware that Malc and Bloodflowers live in the UK? Not that it matters of course. I just don't feel that the nationality of a poster has any standing of the quality of his or her posts.

Of course, this comment was made on a different forum, so it should be none of my buisness, but I do take exception to such casual xenophobia from someone who claims to be so educated.

It was a joke, honestly. Not a very good one, admittedly, but a joke nonetheless. And I never claimed to be well educated.

Awesome. I know it's hard to get subtle sentiments conveyed over the internet. You're off the hook, Ganson

I second that - it's hard to convey most sentiments through forums with any kind of accuracy.

Apology accepted wholeheartedly, I don't want you to feel bad either - its a mis-understanding and you were clearly upset. I too apologise for anything I said, even if it was taken out of context, or that may have given you an ill feeling about me.

Maybe I should change my little avatar so he wears a smile - that may improve things, who knows!

Take care Prof, someone with a post count as you is far more worthy here than I, so please don't dissapear.

This thread is now entering uncharted gay territory.

That's what your mom told me

It takes a big man to admit he was wrong and apologize. I don't know many people that do that in real life- much less on the internet : )

Never tell a 300 lbs man he is wrong, he don't need to apologize to nobody.
