What the fuck happened to PS2 Star Soldier coming out here?

Destination said it was releasing it and...they haven't released it.

I knew it wasn't a good idea to give the rights to that game to a company that releases bullshit titles like M&M's Kart Racing...

Is the PS2 Star Soldier the same as the Wii game? I'm wondering whether I'll need to buy one or both (hopefully just one because I don't want 'reasons' to buy a Wii any time soon.)

No it's not. The PS2 game has a proper mode with stages and stuff. They are completely different games. It's a pretty good game actually, I was surprised when I played it for the first time, I was expecting a lot less.

yeah, me too... i tried it fisrt on the PSP, then tried the PS2 verson which is prtty much the same game (with some differences), and i really like it... could have been better (And longer) thou.

and it includes the 2-5 mins run too...

The PS2 version is the Cube version (I'm pretty sure anyways) for anyone that doesn't know.

I used to own it on the Cube... good little game if you're into the series. Gets pretty hectic in the later stages. I always meant to pick up the import for PS2 after getting rid of my Cube, but just never got around to it. Now I've got the PSP version and I think I actually like that one better with the different ships available to you.

This is the first I heard of a PS2 Star Soldier title. I'll have to hunt it down.

How is Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth regarded around here? I just replayed it to see how it held up, and the game felt just as blaringly average as I remember it. I still have a soft spot for it, though mostly for the music (particularly on Mission 2) and not much else.

Vanishing Earth used to be regarded as crap...but then people realized it was actually pretty good.

And yes, I like the soundtrack too. Can you believe the same guy did music for Pokemon TCG on Gameboy?
